I'm hoping for this too but I honestly kind of wonder if the Democrats will ever be in power again. The GOP is doing everything it can to ensure we never have another fair election.

Arizona and Texas are not close. Texas has not elected a nationwide Dem in 20 years while Arizona had a Democrat governor from 2002-2010. Arizona has a higher Democrat state legislature than Taxes as well.

Arizona may turn blue in 2020. Texas? 2028.

Because with the House they knew it was just kicking it to the Senate. This is the real deal now. It still has to go to the House again, but they all know in the end it'll get a rubber stamp and go about.

What does getting upset a freaking message board users accomplish. Many of us here have repeatedly called out congressperson/senator. Our posts didn't cause them to attempt this. Get upset at the electorate that voted for their senators and representatives.

I'm angry at the ignorance. It's directed at every single person who said don't worry. It's not just people here. It's people all over this country who are complacent to what's happening in Washington right now.

They may be holding this vote open because they don't have the votes and are discussing what to do next. A lot of incidental tweets about sour body language from the Republican side.

Take it all with a grain of salt, kids. I'm a huge McCain critic and will not be swayed until proven otherwise, but it's odd how long this is taking if they have the votes they need.

They've ruled 2-3 times against it in State cases, and not just 5-4 rulings, either, so it's by no means a guarantee. Some of you are addicted to these hot takes.

Next time one of these republican assholes get shot, I'm definitely going to need a reminder as to why I should feel bad. And "no one deserves to get shot" won't be a good answer. This is crazy, in any other country I would imagine we'd be seeing protesting in the streets en masse, like whole cities going up in flames, making the LA riots look like a neighborly quarrel.

No they really haven't, unless I'm mistaken. They have ruled that it is allowed they just aren't sure to what degree you can fuck people through gerrymandering.

Talking SCOTUS, its off topic though.
