I just got a payment request from Amiami for Figuarts Artoo and Threepio. I was starting to suspect a delay. Paid.

I've been waiting on mine to arrive for a few hours...

I logged into amiami earlier and all 3 items in my order (C-3PO, R2 and Nendo BotW Link DX) show as in-stock. Hopefully any moment now they'll send me the request...

*edit*
A-a-a-and there we go, just arrived! PAID! Looking forward to having these guys in my hands next week!

Hey, Messi. Because you ordered us to mention every Harley figure we come across I just saw this and thought you might be interested.

Thoughts on the MAFEX Star Wars stuff? I usually collect Figuarts but they don't really scale together or with Hasbro's stuff(like Imperial Guards which don't exist for either).

Also, who makes the best Hulk? I collect the MCU toys in the Figuarts line but since Hulk it big anyway I just want the best representation of him.

I really don't want to double dip lol

I like Mafex Rey, but it's the only import Star Wars figure I have besides model kits so I'm not sure how it compares to Figuarts or other lines.

Messi if you buy that I want you to know we can never be friends ever, ever.

Messi will buy it because he just can't help himself when it comes to Harley. He's going to end up being one of those people who has an entire house full of merchandise dedicated to one character.

1/4 is my favorite scale. You definitely lose the diorama / poseability from smaller scales, though. Also displaying them becomes an issue.

MAFEX quality is all over the place. The only Star Wars ones I own are the two Boba Fetts, which are incredible. The scale is closer to BS than Figuarts.
The best-looking smallish Hulk right now is the Mezco gladiator Hulk, which was shown at SDCC but is not out yet. Mezco scales to Legends damn near exactly so they're a little big compared to Figuarts.

So good.

Thanks, definitely looking into getting Rey. Probably their Kylo Ren too.

That looks great! I forgot about Mezco. Theres figma too.

Ugh this is hard.

Maybe I'll do an Avengers shelf with Figma, AoU with SH Figuarts, and a mish-mash for other movies. That gladiator Hulk is seeexxxxyyyyyy.

I will say though, I do like soft goods so that kinda steers me from SH Figuarts.

People still buzzing about that Mezco Hulk eh ;) Yeah he's gonna be nice. With each new wave they unveil I feel better and better about the future of their 1:12 line. They really are setting themselves up to be the leaders in this scale.

Get yourself a Mafex No. 25 RotJ Boba Fett and have a good time! Or the No 16 if you'd prefer ESB, but the RotJ just looks better IMO. Their Kylo, Rey and to a lesser extent Vader all seem pretty nice

I'm speaking more in terms of non-jointed figures, in which case there's A LOT.

Ah, ok. I'm mostly a toy collector.

Edit: Not sure how I posted it twice...

Edit2: I do think statues are cool... but typically are a bit out of my price range. I get enough heat from the wife buying $100 action figures.

Thanks! Thoughts on Mafex's Phasma?

One thing about that line is that the final product always looks as good as the prototype.

Bandai is easing into soft goods, but Mezco is a tough act to follow there. Mezco Dr. Strange is a fucking masterpiece.

Thanks! Thoughts on Mafex's Phasma?
While I initially had it ordered I cancelled it. I already owned several Phasma by the time she was coming out, and I didn't want to justify another one.

I'd recommend watching The Fwoosh's review and see what you think. He's been picking up a lot of the Mafex SW figures so he's a good channel to subscribe to if you're interested in them.

Looks wise I think it does top the Black Series and the SHF. Probably the best Phasma you can own in this scale right now. If they do a TLJ version of her that includes an unmasked head (seems she might appear that way in the movie based on the Vanity Fair photo shoot, we'll see), I'll be severely tempted.

Very broad statement here, but generally I think the Mafex Star Wars figures look better than the Black Series and SHF almost every time. They aren't undersized or suffer from wonky head/mask proportions like SHF, and look higher quality than Black Series (though with their new paint app process, that is gonna narrow thankfully). Downside is sometimes they can have bad QC particularly when it comes to joints. But happily I see fewer reports of that with their SW figures... tends to impact their DC figures in a bad way though.

That's always appreciated, yeah! Also when they show off a prototype, they often have a lot of improvements on it that ship in the final version. I've already seen them sneak in extra accessories that they never showed with prototypes, too. I do get irritated at their pricing sometimes; some figures feel like a tremendous value with all they come with, and others feel very, very skimpy on what's offered in the box.

Now if only they would do Star Wars...

1/3 scale... hooooly... well good luck with that WW fans with way deeper wallets than me...

I'm still freaking out over that Revo Magneto. THAT CAPE! AMAZING! If I ever thought about skipping Wolverine I DEFINITELY won't be now.
