Can we make the Cold Steel writeup for the August thread this

Would anyone be willing to sell me King's Quest from Play Asia for cost? My bank hates Play Asia and every time I buy something from there they put a hold on my account and I have to call them to fix it. It's a huge pain in the ass.

Those RX Vega rumors are kinda disappointing. Also AMDs silence is really strange. But we will see after real world benchmarks how things are standing. But if card is really only at 1080 levels Nvidia will crush them with Volta.

Ubi doesn't release its GOG games elsewhere. Rayman 2 was included with Rayman Origins pre-orders, but only because it'd been uploaded years earlier.

Not to mention Navi is slated for 2019/2020. Vega 64 may steal some attention away from the 1070/1080, but, yeah, any gains will be eroded when the 1170/2070 releases and offers 1080 Ti-level performance at a mainstream price point, which will effectively kick AMD back to where it was a year ago: having nothing to counter Nvidia's latest offerings in the higher tiers and nothing on the horizon to change that.

Game peaked at 7500 players during last beta and now didn't even came close to that. In last 24 hours peak was 3800 players. Game is not in top 10 sellers either. So i really can't see this game being successful .

Ouch. I feel that it deserved better numbers, but the multiplayer shooter market always feels hit or miss, except for niche titles that are able to mantain low numbers of dedicated players.

I think the Google Translator did a passable job there. It's mostly grammatical, you can kinda decipher the intended meaning, and most importantly, to a Japanese with barely any English skills it probably sounds okay.

I tried the alpha way back when, thought it sucked and never felt the will to ever touch it again, alpha beta or release.

I wonder if the jabs he threw toward Overwatch helped any.

Well it's going to be more successful than Mirage Arcane Warfare the second game from the Chivalry guys

830 player all time peak, peak 17 players past 24 hours

In a multiplayer only game that only came out in May


For comparison their beta only had a peak of 986 If i remember correctly, so even with a free weekend and 50% discount since launch it has reached that peak

Well they at least had one successful game before that. This is first game for Boss Key studio so it would hurt if they under perform.

Playing MGSV with DD feels weird. The fact that he pretty much scouts out entire areas by himself, not just spotting enemies and prisoners from afar and through walls, completely changes the feel of the game. You are no longer caught off guard (I'm sure the enemies will adapt at some point tho) and when enemies react to him without having seen you it's never to your disadvantage, it actually gives you an opportunity to take them out. The only downside to DD so far is the need for a car/truck which is super annoying during missions.

Fair enough but Chivalrys first game was basically a bunch of guys in their living room off of kickstarter not an actual company with employees and an internet famous guy with a nickname
