I don't wanna brag... but I know a lot about Mario. However, I can concede the fact that whoever runs Supper Mario Broth knows a great deal more.

SMB is a twitter account and blog focusing on Mario Obscura. The most minute, unknown, and ridiculous bits of Mario trivia are catalogued. This goes far beyond knowing the punching ghost from NSMB's name (Broozer) and SMB manages to dig up unused textures, forgotten art, and general absurd information that no one, ever, would think about.

Birdo eating an apple in the Apes of Wrath minigame in Mario Party 7. This is the only time Birdo has been animated eating food.

On the cover of Mario Party 6, Yoshi's hand is turned palm up, while on the title screen, it's turned palm down. All other art is unchanged.

Mario Party 7 (2005) has had the highest-resolution Toad mouth texture to date, even higher than Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (2014).

WHO WOULD EVEN KNOW THIS? OR WANT TO KNOW IT?

SMB also manages to dig up a lot of forgotten art from magazines all over the world as well as texture dumps and unused files.

I’m definitely in on this, I still play Super MARIO Brothers on my Wii and WiiU. I love the side scroller level MARIO Brothers and hope the Switch will get one. I am tired of playing MARIO Kart and Zelda at this point.

Maybe some retro games will be coming to the Switch.

Supper Mario Broth is pretty fantastic. As an information hippie though,, I do wish it would credit or at least link to the original source of its material (There's one instance on the twitter feed where he took an image from The Spriter's Ressource and cropped out the ripper's credits without acknowledgement. Not cool) and state more precisely the title of an animation/manga rather than just saying "From a Japanese Mario manga".

I've seen a few of my mariowiki contributions end on it. The owner definitely checks the wiki's recent changes and forum for material lol.

In one particular piece of official art for Super Mario Odyssey, Mario’s hair is rendered in great detail. Zooming in to the part above his ear, we can see what appears to be a single gray hair. This seems to be deliberate, as analysis of the image reveals that this is not a transparency issue, but that the hair is indeed colored a lighter color than the rest. Due to the image being released in a lossless format by Nintendo, this also could not be a compression artifact.

I have no idea who currently rus it though.
