Crackdown 3 delayed to Spring 2018

Good on them for giving it more time. I vastly prefer this over what they did with ReCore, pushing it out regardless of the state it was in.

"With so many great exclusives and new games to play, Crackdown 3 would have shipped into an incredibly crowded market."

I mean, that isn't the reason for the delay obviously, but it's still true haha

Edit: not the exclusive part lol

It's crazy that they thought delaying the game again was the best option. What could possibly be wrong with the game? Companys fix all their broken shit with Day 1 patches and whatnot anyways.

Rofl one of the reason why I even own an Xbox one. The other is scalebound which we all know is gone forever. I'm so glad MS Is not the market leader.

This and everything to do with Crackdown 3s development leads me to believe that this game would have been quietly cancelled if It hadn't been for the backlash MS has gotten for cancelling Scalebound

This year will probably go down as the worst year ever for MS first party. All they had was Halo Wars 2 and Forza 7. Its really awful for the 4th year of your console that is trailing all competition at this point.

For the best. Game was not showing well at all. I really hope they can get it to where it needs to be. Sucks for the X launch for sure though.

Oh dear.

Always a good thing if the game isn't ready of course. But man I hope MS bounces back and is investing in more exclusives for the future... this year is looking pretty grim.

The writing was on the wall considering the minimal coverage at E3 and the fact that the "cloud power" multiplayer has been swept under the rug.

Everybody over to Agents of Mayhem in the meantime.

I bought an Xbox One after E3 2014 when I said I wanted:

- A Halo Collection.
- Horizon 2.
- Crackdown 3.

All announced before I picked one up...

...and here I will be with an Xbox One X with Halo 5, Gears 4, Forza Horizon 3 AND Forza Motorsport 7...

...and Cuphead FFS!

But not the game to complete The Trinity!

So no launch exclusives for x1x? Sounds about right. But the right decision based on those garbage e3 videos. Though you have to wonder if these devs can pull it off or might MS be better off killing this shit and cutting their loses.

If they'd put aside a fraction of the cash they put into the whole Kinect/TV-set-top-box push five or so years ago for other purposes, they could have built up a decent stable of first party devs and some new, high quality IPs right about now.

It was not far off of "Sega in the 90s" tier decision making.

Would love to know the story behind this game, seems like its been stuck in development hell. Hopefully theyve taken the criticisms from e3 into accound and will deliver a better title for it. Its time theyve been taken to task for their first party output. Now i love forza and halo, but thats not enough anymore. When playstation was behind last gen, they came out swinging with risky, interesting first party endevors. Outside of some solid efforts like recore and ori, ms have proven that they would rather stick to their "guns". Which sales have proven this gen seem to matter to folks less and less by the year. Whats frustrating is they have so much legacy ip they could be pulling from. Lucky's tale? Why the fuck isnt that a banjo or conker game. Phantom dust has a following yet you successfully smuldered that project with your mis management, same with scalebound. I was an adamant microsoft defender for a while and i still hold out hope that they can deliver, because theyve proven with ori, sunset over drive and even recore to an extent that they can when they want to, but lately it doesnt even seem like they can be assed to try. Backwards compatability is fucking great, but give me new, interesting xbox ip and let your backlog of franchises out of the god damn attic.
