Is the Aston Martin Vulcan the best looking car around right now?

I'm partial to the new GT

Take all the fins and spoilers and air foils off it and it'd look nice. I'm not much for supercars though.

Of those I probably like the Ferrari 488 Spider best. Overall I still think I'd take the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio right now. I like stealthy sedans.

As others have said, it's not even the best Aston Martin. As that title belongs to the DB11:

Edit: that may be an old design, here's another pic:

It doesn't matter who we are, what matters is our plan.
Look at this thing. If they made a street legal version of it I would be all over that
if I was a millionaire

There's a company I did work for not long ago that is offering road-legal conversions to any Vulcan owners.

I haven't seen any yet, but that seems like quite the challenge: I believe their head lamps are too low, for one.

I love older Volkswagens, hopefully someday I'll pickup an old Cabriolet. I'd pick these two over basically anything else in this thread. May not be as fast or luxurious as everything else, but these cares have a soft spot in my heart.

Bonus that most people will not agree with, but I absolutely love the limited edition Golf they made for the Olympics in 1996 I think.

Not a hatch fan myself, but I really have a soft spot for dubs and...

Lancia Delta.

As for the OP, nah, not even close. Fair to say that an Aston holds one of the 2 or 3 top spots, but it ain't that one.

Good looking car but not the best looking Aston Martin.

My favorite car in recent years is the SLS AMG Black Series

The car is beautiful but, the spoiler is rediculous. That being said, a consumer level mega dollar track only car is kinda rediculous all in its own.

That Vulcan is blatant TVR Speed 12 LM/Sagaris ripoff.

Also, TVR Sagaris is the paramount daddy of similar looks and it was street legal.

There are going to people exaggerating their pedantic aesthetic preferences in this thread and calling this car ugly in order to stand out from the pack

This is a gorgeous car

Or alternatively we find it ugly. As some one else said it looks kinda like a Dodge Viper and I hate that car too. I really hate the really huge front end and little left of the rear end look. Plus it's too busy in design. Like some one thought the more stuff they added on the better it looks (and I can like cars like that long as the lines flow with each other.... I mean I like lamborghinis). The spoiler is the worst offender there (I'm hoping it's actually there for function as it is a high enough performance car that I could see that being the case). It looks like a kid's idea of what would be cool on a car without even looking like it was designed for the car rather than just stuck on afterwards).

Though take off the spoiler and that front lip thing, lengthen the rear, and shorten the front and I think I could like it.

Oh, and I'll totally plus one the aventador. But I'm kinda biased towards lamborghinis and definitely prefer sharp designs over rounded (there are some curvy cars I like but I gravitate towards sharp/aggressive looking ones).

Perhaps he's wondering why someone would shoot a man before throwing him out of a plane.
I've always had a soft-spot for 80s and 90s flip-headlight drift missiles:

I know it may be a bit subdued for some, but as an unabashed fan of hot and hyper hatches nothing tickles my fancy quite like the S3 sport back.

shame that it will never come stateside

I dunno. It's funny cause overall I think the newer audis look nice but boring at the same time. It's like they have nothing to dislike about them but there's nothing that really stands out about them either (at least in the looks department. My husband has an S4 and I admit if you don't care that's kinda boring looking it has other reasons to really love it and while boring at least it still looks nice and isn't ugly). Personally I like the Mazda M3 (or at least the older models, I think I saw a more recent one and didn't like it but can't remember) for hatches.

That is one of the ugliest cars ever put on earth.

While I wouldn't call that car pretty you've not seen many ugly cars if you think that's the ugliest car put on earth. It's more plain/just a car look than ugly or pretty. It's just there. Hell, without even thinking I'd label the Nissan Cube uglier (Hell, most fairly recent Nissan designs, particularly their cars aimed at the masses, are butt ugly and look uglier than it. They are ugly enough to me that I just can't comprehend at all that anyone would like them but they sell and I'm sure there are people who do. Though recently their design is starting to look decent again or at least I saw one new model Nissan that I actually liked).

I thought OP was implying new/recent cars. We posting decades old cars now? Because that's a whole other discussion if we're talking GOATs of car design.

yes it does look nice, but I prefer my cars modified and also from the 90s and mid 2000s. (okay maybe some from 2010s too)

I have a thing for 90s cars. Cars nowadays all look the same and round to me. If you took a Toyota, a Honda and a Hyundai and took off their badges, I wouldn't be able to tell which is different, even supercars. I feel like at least back then different companies had different design philosophies and now everyone seems to follow a trend, even super cars.

I feel like the car in the OP would be a lot cooler without the spoiler (or at least one that's 90% smaller), without the neon accent lines, and without those scoopy/flailed out parts on the bottom of the car. The main cabin area looks really cool, though. It looks like the cabin of the batmobile or something.

Yep, this car is an absolute masterclass in taking a classic design (Gullwing) and modernising. Probably my favourite car of post 00s. Then again, I'm a sucker for short booty, long front (E-type, Viper)

Aston makes some beautiful cars and the Vulcan is definitely beautiful but my vote goes to

vanquish-s4-mobile.jpg

The Vanquish.

When I think of Aston, I think of timeless car designs and the Vanquish absolutely nails that. This design will still look fantastic in 50 years.

Yeah that's what he was talking about. People just wanted to post random ass cars lol.
