Millenials are killing home ownership. Not student loans, stagnant wages, or many of them graduating or being let go early in their careers during a terrible recession.

Almost 40% of millennials surveyed by Mintel said cereal was an inconvenient breakfast choice because they had to clean up after eating it, The New York Times reported in 2016.

Instead, younger consumers are turning to convenient options with minimal cleanup that can be eaten on the go, from yogurt to fast-food breakfast sandwiches.

Buh? Cereal is one of the easiest things for breakfast.

I mostly cut back on cereal cause it's overpriced and too sugary.

I call bullshit on Gyms. Sure millenials are the least in shape generation overall, but there has never been a better time to open a gym.

Yeah, my wife is all about Greek yogurt and all these other kinds of yogurts (I think there's Australian, maybe some from Finland or something as well..lots of varieties). She hasn't bought "light" yogurt in who knows how long. 5+ years at a minimum.

I eat cereal as a snack but haven't had it in a bowl with milk in probably 15 years.

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
We wish to burn it all down, so we can begin anew. Our only weakness is nostalgia for shitty cartoons from our youth.

Then all these industries can burn if they're just going to complain about it rather than change.

I bet these are people who would've justified whatever shit they supplanted back in the day with "free market" or "supply and demand" or any of the other things they were supposed to be good at.

Genuine capitalism wasn't supposed to let you get complacent. Evolve or die, you schmoes.

Can't say any of this is bad. Homeownership is dying because who the fuck can afford a house anymore?

This is what I've been saying. Back in the day you could work a 40 hour job, afford a house and car and put your kids through school.

I work 40 hours a week and can barely afford rent. No way I'm gonna buy a house. Everything's gone up except my wage. Rents through the fucking roof. Foods higher. It fucking sucks. And my dad keeps asking me why I don't own a house yet and he owns several. Fml

Home improvement stores kinda go hand in hand with home ownership, so at least that makes sense.

Who the fuck still goes to Hooters?

It was an interesting read, though a lot of it seems overblown. I'm not interested in any of the listed things.

This was also amusing about fabric softener:
According to Downy maker Procter & Gamble's head of global fabric care, millennials "don't even know what the product is for."

I can assume the product is for softening fabric, but I can confirm that I have no idea why I would use it.

And the boomers that have equity, thanks to the many handout programs they've now killed, Are buying housing to rent at asshole puckering rates.

I don't particularly mind millennials killing these off.

I'd still rather not have millennials though.
