Might have given out on him as he was jogging back. When I tore my ACL, I was a bit stiff but not in a lot of pain. Small twists/tweaks made me drop to the floor in pain a few times (I'm not suggesting he tore his ACL, could be anything).

Hard to blame defender, its low but he cant go high. Ideally you want him targeting a bit higher but it's easier said than done.
