I really do think I'm going to double dip, much to my chagrin. I play with a lot of Gaffers on PS4 (or did when I was actively playing Destiny), and my actual friends are getting it on PC. Such is life.

Meh, looks like Destiny in 4k/60fps. Big empty rooms with little physical interaction and disappearing corpses. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Destiny pals are on Xbox... but I too have people I'd like to play with on PC. That and the enhanced visuals make it really hard to not get both... ugh

Depending on how the PC beta goes, there is a big chance that I will be double dipping on this game and getting both ps4 and pc >.<

Please... tell us more.

On Topic - Can't wait, really excited to try the beta out on PC after playing it on my PS4... I'm not gonna miss that low FOV / FPS.

Looks gorgeous. Watching the video though I'm reminded of how tedious boss fights are with 2 primary weapons.

so smooth

I wish they would show it of with a proper FOV for once.
That narrow default FOV is bugging the hell outta me.

Big fat meh, boss looks like bullet sponge. I mean, we're fighting agains the Vex, a species that can control time, all they come up with is a "the floor is lava!!" Boss. Still, always nice to see the Destiny world in 60fps.

Man, they did say that retarded thing where in their understanding of gamedesign, on mouse and keyboard recoil doesnt feel good, but on controllers do, so they'll remove recoil altogether on PC. Seeing this, slow ass moving speed, low fov and the gunplay - guns just stay glued and static in your avatars hands, shit just lights up a bit to know you're firing, no feeling, no impact, no punch. This is literally the most console made game that just happens to run on a pc. It wont fell right if you care more than playing games just to say you're playing games.

Well what did you really expect? Bosses to die in 3 shots? No boss mechanics? Easy 5 second fights? What?
Bosses that are more difficult to hit, that are challenging to hit. More interesting mechanics that apply to what the enemy is capable of according to the lore. Bosses that don't rely on ads to make them harder. More interesting arenas. I can go on.
I have not played the game yet so I cannot judge the whole package but I hope the rest of the bosses are just as fun as most of the raid bosses.

It looks great at 60FPS, but I just do not like how long it takes to down a boss. 8min doesn't seem too bad but still too long for my tastes, it's the one thing I don't miss from Destiny 1 (though could call nuke a boss with the GHorn I guess)

That isn't true.

They said it has different recoil to the console version.

Looks great visually. As someone who stepped away from the game just before Taken King, I gotta say, I much prefer Dinklage to Nolan North's 343 Guilty Spark "esque" take on the ghost.

They never said that.

Of course they did.

https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2017/06/destiny-2s-guns-wont-recoil-on-pc-as-they-do-on-consoles/

Then after a while they aparently did some backtracking on that where they said it was a comunication error, and it will have a tiny bit of recoil on PC. But the main thing is that they think recoil doesnt feel good on pc but does on controllers. When the stone cold fact is that its the other way around - recoil is a staple of M/KB design in shooters since shooters have been 3d. Removing recoil entirely is a staple of how PC designed games were altered, among many many other tweaks so they are playable nicely on controllers ( along with slower moving speed, enemies that do lower amounts of damage, miss more, have lower mobility, etc.)

god......the reaction time to fighting enemies is going to be insane compared to a controller in my hands........aiming is natural on the mouse, so even randoms doing strikes or anything will be amazing.

With good weapons, effective use of abilities and proper teamwork i can guarantee he will go down pretty fast.

That looks so much smoother than the first game, it's a night and day comparison. Can't wait to try the beta next week!

Yaaay... Gaf continues to be armchair devs even though you haven't even played the game on PC yet.
