To be honest, they have to recoup XV dev costs if they want to proceed with future AAA FFs. I don't love it either but it makes a ton of sense.

I get what you're saying. It's a free event, but they just want people playing this game for a while and stuff like this is how you get that.

Not to mention this isn't the first time a collab has been done with these games. Although some people will act brand new to it.

The problem is that it makes a mess of what is already a very messy game. DLC is cool, but the DLC is basically turning into FFXV: Mod Support without addressing the issues of the base game. Sometimes it's better to leave ideas to the spin-offs and sequels and leave the game with some dignity.
