Bethesda has an unnanounced game releasing this year

Switch does not have the power to run Fallout 4 in its current form. If they decide to port it, it will be a severely downgraded version.

Visually yeah, but mechanically it could be fine and would be awesome to have portable. If they were making a Switch game though I would rather a cleaned up New Vegas. After seeing the Skyrim switch port New Vegas would be awesome.

Some mobile title akin to Fallout Shelter would be my guess, it's too soon after FO4 to have some major title come out from Todd's team.

Would be pretty hilarious if TES VI is announced quietly via a Pete Hines tweet saying it's coming out in 2 months. lol

I doubt it's Fallout 4 for Switch, just because it wouldn't make much sense for them to release it so close to Skyrim. I also feel like they would have announced it alongside the PS4/XBO re-releases if it was happening.

My money's on a Switch port of DOOM. As I've mentioned a few times before, it's actually a good candidate for a relatively quick Switch port, as it's got a Vulkan renderer (Switch's NVN is based on Vulkan) and performs pretty well on low-spec PCs. It would also get quite a bit of attention for running on a portable, and would have a different enough audience from Skyrim for Bethesda to not have to worry too much about releasing them close together.

I was gonna say "no they don't" without knowing of any actual source...

There is just no way that would be the case at this point in the year.

Rockstar just today announced a new release on four platforms for this year. I don't see Bethesda announcing a totally new game, but a port of an existing title to a new platform doesn't need a whole lot of time between announcement and release.

Almost certainly a port considering how it was leaked, unless we think they are going to announce some new game at tgs lol.

100% agree on Doom for Switch. I think the partnership might actually be important to Bethesda now that Nintendo has modern hardware, even if it's underpowered, it's certainly modern.

Bonus fact, DOOM is the only one of their (now) franchises that actually has Nintendo history with DOOM SNES, DOOM 64, DOOM GBA, DOOM II GBA. :)

I can see a Port/Remaster coming out, nobody was expecting today's LA Noire announcement either.

But what game?

It would also be basically the first FPS for the platform, which would give it a fair amount of attention too.

Actually an LA Noire remaster has been rumored for months, if not even over a year. It's been a pretty badly kept secret.
