I didn't like what little I played of the game, so I'll pass. If they released Bully or RDR on Switch, I'd grab them immediately. Anyway, I'm glad to see Rockstar supporting the platform. Here's hoping to see more of their stuff in the future.

Don't know if I want this. I played the original and liked the gathering clues bit but I don't remember the interrogations ever feeling right, and that's a big part of the game.

I didn't go back to see if those were bugs or if it was working as expected though.

Unless I'm missing something - I find it hilarious that they went through the effort of doing the HTC Vive VR content, but seemingly have no mention of any updates to the rest of the game on PC.

Great game, but the PC version has some old ass rockstar jank to it that sorely needs work

There is nothing wrong with the prompts as they are. The overreactions are a punishment for not thinking things through.
Nope, it's just bad. The only thing poorly thought out was the game design. You can't blame players for that.

The PS4/X1 version is being done internally by a small team. The Switch version is being outsourced (since it's more a straight port than graphical enhancement). Not sure about the Vive version but I can imagine that's in-house as well.]

No mention of developer in the press release or poster boilerplate. Also no credit to Team Bondi/KMM (or Brendan McNamara for that matter) anywhere in the announcement or marketing or updated official site. Classy.

Thank you.

Will the over-worked and burned out developers who got exploited and abused by Rockstar and McNamara profit from this re-release?

If only.

...could be a case where R* is putting their devs working on the game to familiarize them with the IP (since the first one was developed by Bondi), and maybe have them work on future games in the franchise

LA Noire Redemption.

Fan reception was tepid and a bit divisive upon release. The further away we get the more I think people feel more negatively than they do positively toward the game.
It's a AAA detective game that's about talking with people and collecting evidence and investigating crimes, with some shooting and chases as well. Add the notion that an open world has to be like GTA or else it's flawed or wrong, as well as the game's design flaws and weaknesses, and of course it was divisive

a port of 360/ps3 version of GTAV for switch? nah makes too much sense.

or is this a capcom test. probably going to be the worst test game ever then.

Probably the least replayable Rockstar game for me. I remember this game being a fun ride but once the credits rolled I had no desire to go back and explore the world.

I want this game to sell but I don't think I can bring myself to double dip on this. I probably would have been in on a remaster of literally any other game they released in the past 10 years. This feels like a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It's a bit of a shame that they aren't giving the graphical enhancements to the Switch version, especially when it's 10 Euros more expensive.

PSVR got robbed considering the game probably sold more on consoles as well.
But great news all-around since I never finished it on PS3 so will gladly buy it on PS4.

That isn't really the point when the experience possible between the two are so different, depending on what the developer intends to do - eg roomscale walking rather than forward facing only. Sounds like more of an experiment than anything else, and that experimentation is pretty much the Vive's ball park

My guess would be that the VR game would be primarily the interrogation sequences, putting you face to face with the characters. You'd also have various scene investigation areas to explore and look around in. Cutscenes would bridge the story points to simplify travel and narrative, and maybe on-rails shooting or driving sequences would kick in for action. It wouldn't be the full game, and wouldn't be something that would be complete enough to reinvest in the non-VR PC presentation.

If enhancements made to the new versions was viable (although let's not kid ourselves, these remasters will have jank, it's inherent to what is the original game's technology, unless you're talking encryption or something PC-specific?) it'd be good to flip it back down to PC, but having no screenshots to go off of for this "range of technical enhancements", I'm curious to see if it's possible to make a difference with this game?

The game barely ran on last gen consoles. There's no way the switch is getting enhanced visuals other than better IQ.

Apologies if this has been asked and answered a million times already, but are these new games, or remasters of the original LA Noire?

Always loved the concept of LA Noire, just not the execution. I'd be in for another attempt, but not a re-release.

PS4/Xbox One - ports with graphical enhancements/remasters
Switch - port

Enchanced ports and a VR rejigger of older cases.

So is this to test the waters possibly for a L.A. Noire sequel? Or perhaps this could be the start of possibly seeing GTA on a Nintendo System.

Either way, kudos to Rockstar for bringing L.A. Noire to the current gen and spreading it out for all to enjoy.

I really enjoyed the game the first time I played it however I remember going back to it a few years later and the game felt so stiff. I'm not sure it would really hold up today for me personally without the movement being revamped.
