I'm kind of in the same boat. Fuck Nazi's and any other group that preaches hate or vilifies other based on race, religion, etc. At the same time, I can't help but think that violence like this is almost stooping to their level. We should aspire to think above our emotions when confronting people like this.
You say that like there isn't a sizeable contingent of Americans willing to go to bat for Nazism out of guilt and fear.
People seem to think progressives are personally responsible for every bigoted asshat's worldview like we're fucking elementary school teachers.

Technically hitting someone with a banana is considered assault in may states so maybe that poster was talking about the nazis. (lol no he wasn't).
Personally? I don't give a shit. This should just communicate that Nazism is an unacceptable set of beliefs to boast about and even hold in the first place. Anyone who is subscribed to it is too far gone to make changing them a worthwhile effort, better to just prevent their rhetoric from being spread.
