So why don't Fast & Furious moves have Tesla in them?

With all the cars they have in this serious now they are all outclassed by a Tesla Model S P100D and even the Tesla Model X P100D SUV!!! is faster than the cars they have.

A fucking 0-60 in 2.5 seconds SUV is faster than any other car they've ever had in this series.

Bias against electric cars? What's the deal? Not loud enough? 🙄🙄

Probably because the noise an electric makes accelerating isn't as UBER MANLY POWERFUL as those slower, noisier cars.

Product placement

Also, they drive tanks and shit now. A Tesla vehicle doesn't seem interesting or unique enough to include in those movies.

because they mostly started filming before tesla's got popular (could see 9 having electric cars) and is more aimed at petrol heads (from fast 1 + 2)..

Because they sound like ass, literally like a fart in the wind. Also without flames and shifting noises it is not exciting to watch

Because cars in movies like those are marketing deals and Tesla isn’t lobbying hollywood to get their ads in movies(yet).

Lol, cars are almost not enough for that franchise anymore. They moved to submarines, tanks and planes and shit.

It's all product placement. The manufacturers in these movies pay to have their cars in them.

The brand also doesn't really appeal to the car enthusiasts who might be really into Fast & Furious and who see the movies to see particular cars. Similarly, James Bond has always typically driven European or British luxury sports vehicles... And while Toyota, Honda, and Ford make some of the most popular cars on the planet, the audience typically expects James Bond to drive an Aston Martin, Audi, or BMW, even if an Acura NSX (or something) is a faster car.

Teslas are fast but, correct me if I'm wrong because I don't know much about cars, you can't really open the hood and tinker with those cars like you could do with the typical muscle or sports cars that are in Fast & Furious.

Teslas are boring and would get smoked by any of the Toretto crews' cars.

And they can't do this-

Teslas need to stick to the Prius lane.

The president of GM product design was in The Transformers movie that happened in China. I recognized him because he is a black dude, and that shit is rare as hens teeth in the industry.

First tragedy, then farce.
Because in the F8 universe Cipher already took over self-driving cars and weaponized them and Tesla would therefor be too dangerous and illegal to exist.

Because teslas are like the most generic, boring looking cars on the road? It looks like an aped Lexus IS but more boring.

Grizzlyjin

Supersonic, idiotic, disconnecting, not respecting, who would really ever wanna go and top that
Dom shits on Brian for driving Japanese cars over American muscle. If someone showed up in an electric car, they'd throw their empty Corona bottles at them.

hot hot hanuman-on-man action

F&F could potentially bankrupt Tesla by having the car blow up in the opening scene in the next movie and having Tyrese say something funny afterwards.

I could see them having electric cars as part of a future instalment, especially as they become more ubiquitous. The cars are now just props for huge explosive setpeices.

Maybe some mission where they need to run a car through a facility completely silently - so they to do it in an electric car.
