Yamcha looks pretty cool, Tien looks like he can only shoot kikouhous

Personally, i cant wait to see Tiens full moveset, i hope he has his dodon ray, four arms, clones, and at least a better version of the solar flare since thats his technique, and thats not going into the chiaotzu stuff

I hope this game can bring that ruthlessness Tien had in DB with his fight against goku

I feel the same. I think Tenshinhan likely has a crap-ton of cool stuff. He is the character with the most techniques.

You see it all the time with artist on long running manga series. It's usually a combination of your style naturally changing over time and becoming more efficient to deal with a weekly schedule.

In Toriyama's case he also went from doing a light hearted comedy adventure to a more serious action shonen.

Rigid, edgy angles are cool, bro

I thought the Japanese spelling is Kuririn
It is, and yet,

are those the regular Japanese voices for Krillin and Goku?

Because I hate them both
The English trailers have the Funimation logo at the end of them, but I still get antsy every time they put out a trailer and those voices still aren't implemented

I enjoy pretty much all the artstyles except for Super.

Dragonball had my favorite look for the characters, especially the muscular ones, but everyone had a really "fleshy" look to them.

Whatever art style was used during the Frieza/Android saga was absolutely my favorite for action sequences, the blasts and impacts have never looked as good since.

The Buu saga is the pinnacle, I feel like it was the perfect mix of "Sharp" and "Soft", the hair was drawn accurately, the anatomy looked amazing

this is also the only animation style where their hair felt like it made sense lol, they finally went off-model with it

The shift from Buu saga to Super is just criminal

Yamcha and Tien both look awesome I can't wait to try him. A lot of Yamcha's moves look so stylish and Chiaotzu assist for Tien looks cool/cute.

Putting in the English voices is probably one of the last things they will do. I wouldn't expect to hear it until nearly all, if not all, of the characters are revealed or at least closer to next year

I'm actually curious how Arc usually handles this. Lindsay Jones(Ruby Rose's voice actress) recently tweeted that she just finished her first recording session for Blazblue Cross Tag Battle.

ArcSys hasn't done English for their own IPs in a while

But since some games like Persona 4 Arena and Dragonball are being published by other companies like Atlus and Namco, they will get English voices at the request of said companies

Since Cross Tag Battle contains characters from IPs that they do not own, expect at least said characters to get English VAs. At the very least they can reuse lines that have already been recorded for some characters.

Great to see these two.

They have been checking one by one the boxes of the characters I want to see, very happy with the roster that has been unveiled.

You're so right. The Buu saga was the pinnacle of the series with animation and diversity of characters.

The sayian And freiza saga well always hold a place in my heart, there's nothing as emotionally stiring as Goku going SSJ for the first time. But I personally think the Cell saga was the perfect saga.

Not only was it mysterious with the creature lurking in the background, a SSJ from the future and by far the best fight scene in Goku versus Cell. It's one of the only fights were it wasn't about ki blast but martial arts and strikes.

The Buu saga was just a fun saga. Super doesn't feel as good as original DBZ did in terms of mystic, story and characters but it's fun seeing our boys and girls back in action.

I just wished Toriyama took some lessons from the current shonen out now and introduce more charismatic characters and a more interesting story.

I keep being drawn back to Hunter X Hunter. I can see a lot of DB and DBZ in early Hunter but it works so well because they took the shonen genre and pushed passed it. Really wanted DBZ to do the same with Super.

Yamcha hate is so played out. We went through that meme shortly after that shit aired. He's still basically one of the strongest humans on the planet.

Yamcha is great.

I don't actually hate Yamcha (the memes are hilarious tho), but I dunno why you're bringing this up when clearly this matters very little nowadays

I rather have the Super outfit than that ugly green gi

Just forego the torso part, then. Tien's so jacked, it should be a crime for him to wear a shirt.

Whoever call Tenshinhan Tien gets to play this game 6 months later than anyone else.

I've always thought one was just a nickname for the other, though? Like, I thought Tenshinhan was a type of food & Tien was another word for it (EX: "Hamburger" & "Burg"), so for Tien was treated like his nickname.

Dude, Yamcha's fighting style in these games always looks effin' awesome because it's based on the old-school Dragon Ball stuff where people had crazy wushu looking forms and special fighting styles and stuff like that.

DBZ and beyond is like MMA or JKD where the fighters got down to "what works", and what worked in DBZverse was rapid punching and kicking at the same angles, double axe handles to spike the other guy and beam spam. Don't get me wrong, I still like modern Dragon Ball but whenever I see Yamcha's wolf fighting style I go "aw man that looks great".

You are 100% correct, did you start watching DB with the Original DB show? This subtlety is usually lost to people that started with DBZ.

Don't shake the tree man. It's best to just smile and post a Goku Black gif.
I am waiting for the Goku black gif!

I find it funny how Android 18 whenever they introduce her in trailers and promos they say, "Also with Android17!". But Chiaotsu doesn't get a mention even though his mug takes up half the screen in Tien's intro.

Send all your Mechas to me, you don't deserve them.

I also call Mazinger Tranzor.

I'm not even American XD

But man it's hard not to use the old american name for characters and spacial attacks since they were drilled into me as a kid thanks to the dub and video games.

Why does it matter

Because purity or some BS like that. I notice they almost never seem to insist on using Kuririn but Tien is a big sticking point. Some people just hate the dub names because reasons.

Also just to make sure my basis are covered.

Flying Nimbus,Hercule,Special Beam Cannon, Spirit Bomb, Power Pole, Frieza, and Buu.

I miss anything?
