This guy has always weirded me out.

Is this the right time to link to his Blade 2 "review"?

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/11793

It's his classic move of bragging about his connections (Guillermo Del Toro sees him as his brother apparently, and they spend their days talking about art and sex), and the rest of the review is just one, weird, baffling thing about oral sex.

You're better off not reading it. The guy has issues.

This is just one example of a long list of Knowles acting like a sheltered dick, but it seemed appropriate to the current situation.

The fuck did I just read? It’s miraculous how far we’ve come (despite clearly having a long way to go) that this wasn’t a massive shitstorm when it was posted.

Baker, who later worked for Drafthouse 2003-2007, said she met and became friends with Drafthouse founders Tim and Karrie League shortly after they opened their first theater in 1997. When she told the Leagues about the incidents, Baker said, they ”thought it was horrifying, but also didn't know what to do."

I HAVE AN IDEA FOR WHAT THEY COULD OF DONE

I'm so desensitized to these creeps that I actually was more put off that he doesn't know the difference between your and you're. A troglodyte in all respects.

Guy was always a grade A asshole. I worked for Alamo for a bit around 2007 and he would piss the seats and not leave it till the movie was over. He treated virtually everyone like shit. It's been a shame to hear about Tim not doing anything about this though. I always thought he was a stand up guy. I also have a friend who runs the PR for their distribution arm of the business. I'm real curious what he has to say about all this.

Did anything else come out about Tim aside from him continuing to support Faraci and his behavior?

My Ex worked at alamo drafthouse for a year. She never was harassed in any way and never told me about any cultural issues and she absolutely hates it when men hit on her. I don't believe this is a pervasive culture at Alamo Drafthouse.

"My ex didn't express experiencing it in one year at some point in the past, therefore I don't believe this is a pervasive culture."
Well, that's some real expert researching there...

I think the issue is more of them protecting VIPs with serious allegations than it being an employee culture thing.

So pervasive issue is not responding to these allegations with seriousness.

I know that sounds flippant but she would have told me. We were together for four years and I knew her in and out. She also would have quit and she still works there to this day.

Well, that's just one account. Not saying you're wrong, but you can't say one way or the other based on one person's experience.

Yeah, it's not a ground-floor level issue, this is a lot of stuff on the back/high end in the "culture" area, not in the operations of the primary business.

Yup. Dude would sit in his own filth. I guess to be fair he was in a wheelchair or scooter back then but that didn't mean he had to sit in his own piss lol. Plenty of handicapped people go see movies without shitting or pissing themselves.

I always loved quint (Eric vespe) as a writer and human being though so I hope he uses this opportunity to get out of there. I played poker with him a couple times and caught screenings with him and he was always ace. I hope he uses this as an opportunity to gtfo of that sinking ship.

So far he hasn't said a peep on twitter meanwhile Drew McWeeny has condemned it and hinted at problems having been around for a while. Not sure if he's speaking just to AICN or the Alamo as well

It wasn't that I didn't think she wouldn't tell you.
It's that one person's experience in one location for one year doesn't preclude things.

IMO the BIGGEST RED FLAG of someone being a piece of shit:

POS seems like a nice person
POS does something bad to Person A
Person A ends up telling other people about it after it sinks in that they are mortified by POS' actions
POS condescendingly, and calmly, denies claims and very kindly and concerningly wishes nothing but the best for them despite these apparently outrageous accusations. This is done so that Person A seems like an unstable mental case that is just obsessed with POS for some reason and that POS is a kind, caring, understandable person who is just misunderstood.

Oh wow, I just remembered who this guy was. My entire internet life, I've shit on that terrible AICN site for the awful layout and horrendous writing.

And this was the guy?

Of course.

You know these could both be classed as assault right?

I'm sure both "could" be, if you were so inclined.

Clearly the first accusation is more than just receiving a text however. The idea physically assualting someone and sending a crass but fairly harmless text are comparable is pretty ridiculous.

I was in love with his site in college. Before it even had its own domain. Not long after I started thinking that things just felt "off". Haven't read it in well over a decade. Feeling pretty pretty good about that distance right now.

Nah. AICN produced some good writers and the site itself was a watershed to movie geek blogs writers we have today. Good or bad.
