Fortnite Battle Royal will be Free for everybody from September 26th

This is my first battle royale type game. It's fun. But they need to figure something out with the constant running across the map (vehicles?)

Also. All I play are shooters (fps,tps) and I dunno why I'm having so much problem tracking enemies. I feel competent enough in other games.

If the game is free to play I'm assuming they are going to add microtransactions, and that is more than reasonable.

Do we have an idea of what will be sold?

I bought the game on September 17th, but I don't know if PS4 owners get the refund. Even so, I don't know if I want the refund anyway. It's such a fun game. I need to get my wife to play it with me this weekend.

You can, you may need to contact Epic and go from there. If I had it, I would most likely keep it for Fortnite PVE stuff. They gave us Paragon players Battle Royale a week early.

Submitted a request for a refund on Epic's site. I bought it from the UK Playstation store. Going by my past experience with Sony's UK customer service I seriously doubt I'll get refunded without jumping through a bunch of hoops and going through a lot of petty bullshit. We'll see though.

Already playable with founder's pack, though it's just 2 more days, unless you want to play Fortnite SP also.

I feel the same way now that I think about it. Though I never came close to actually buying one of those games before. Only BR mode? No other type of content, event, or thing to do?

Online only with just a sandbox with a circle bringing people together.

No content like voice work, quests, events, or new game modes that have to be developed in a DLC type of way.

Basically it's just trying to survive with what's on the field against other players. They could even put advertisements on the waiting room stage and on the side of the bus as it's dropping people off. Then you got skins that you can buy, but why would people want flashy visible skins? I'm sure Epic has a plan to monetize.

It adds more to the game play though. Destructible environments and being able to build cover on the fly are huge changes that aren't possible in PubG.

Not only that. When PUBG goes 1.0 it won't even have free crates anymore, so you have NOTHING to earn. Nothing? Yes, not even a player or character level or something like that. There is simply nothing then the pure gameplay.

Fortnite BR looks so so much more promising. I still don't know if I will like some of the gameplay choices or the friendlier look but holy shit does it look 300 times more polished and packed already as PUBG. I hope people will give it a chance at least, cause to be better as PUBG, to be really honest, gameplay, graphics or content wise is not really that hard if you're a big company and try to do it right.

Oh yeah since Fortnite is Free2Play then it doesn't require PS+ so this game will be big on consoles fast not only free but also no membership required, for Xbox you need Xbox Live for Free2Play games afaik

I will try this. The artstyle is engaging unlike PUBG, and it's on PS4, and it's F2P, so all the stars are aligned to see what the big deal is about this Battle Royale phenomenon !

It's pretty good. Finished in 2nd position a couple of times but seem to be really unlucky with pickups and I always come across people with epic rocket launchers and snipers when it's down to The final 2.

Squads and new weapons should be fun.

Watching a guy cheat on a stream. The streamer sensed something fishy and is spectating the cheater. Man I hope Epic can do something about this.

Dewsta is his character's name. I wish I knew how to save clips. With a sniper rifle he can barely hit anything. With a colt or AR he single shots people. He can see through walls, trees and so on too. Crazy.

Seem like a epic dev was in stream anyway. So that person's epic profile may be dealt with.

You know, this spectate killer thing is awesome. When someone feel like they have been killed by a hacker they can just watch them closely.

Really interested to see how this comes along after some updates as it graphically is already far more appealing to me then most of the games in the genre. Ultimately I prefer fbs to tps, would be interesting to see them add a fps only mode/servers

This game is extremely addicting, lol.
Had my first win yesterday and it was fucking tense the last few minutes.
Can't believe that the game already runs so good in this early stage.
The new update sounds fun, looking forward to that scoped assault rifle.

will this be a standalone download or would one need to download the main fortnite game and choose the battle royale mode from the main menu to play?

a bunch of my friends want in, but they don't know if it'll be a standalone download or part of the main fortnite game.

if it's part of the main game, then they can just go ahead and download the main client right now.

otherwise they'd have to wait till the standalone client hits?

I own PUBG. Think it's boring as all kinds of hell. This looks cool, but PUBG has fooled me before. I'm actually pretty stoked to check this one out though.

I had the same qiestion... and I ended dowbloading already the game... if is not standalone and just a parch I already have it... and if is standalone I may be trying the other modes than BR

I think a lot of people still don't get what you actually can do in this game.
One guy was hiding inside a house on the 2nd floor, so i built some stairs outside to get on the roof and then ripped away one part of it so i could take him out with my shotgun.

Downloaded this on Friday not realising I can't play it yet -.-

Really looking forward to trying it.

I hope there isn't too much voice over, couldn't make it to the end of the trailer, really not my style.
