I unironically love Neo Yokio. I only wish the plebians in OT could recognize it’s worth as a subtle and surrealist satire of upper-crust bougeoisie Manhattanite culture. It does to young rich gentrifying Hampton preps what American Psycho did to yuppies. It seems crystal clear that Ezra Koening chose to give it the trappings and stock tropes of anime to firmly root itself in the millennial age. 4 out of 5 stars, I want a season 2 asap.

Ummm. I like that the bridge had windows and the viewscreen was overlayed on them. (one of very few things i liked about NuTrek)

Overall it's very utilitarian (even compared to something like the Defiant or Excelsior class ships) which i don't how to feel about just yet it. Sorry.

I want to see what the interior of the Discovery looks like next week.

Sorry if that didn't really answer your question, Slay.

I'm withholding judgement until I see Michael's quarters.... for myself.

Lab Technician in research currently working in a grad school. I am learning web development in my spare time as well.

1) Budget-wise, I'm currently spending sub-$800 on my apartment here in TX and can stand to do the same in Canada. If I land the exact same job it means ~$2200 a month. Don't use cable but internet is sub-$100 and I spend $100-300 a month for groceries.

2) Haven't really thought about being close to the border or not. Any particular benefits to living close or far? I don't mind either way at the moment.

3) I like the cold better than the heat. The only thing that usually pisses me off is slipping on ice.

4) I can fuck with bagged milk

5) I'm learning it. Literally at the beginner stage.

6) I don't speak French but as for religion, I might look for a Baptist church and go once a month just to sate my parents. I myself am not a bible-thumper.

7) Amenities: Internet and watching movies. That's honestly pretty much it. Only time I'm ever into sports is during the Olympics. Don't watch live music. Not a big drinker or partyer so no need for a place with a busy nightlife.I do enjoy the fine arts so a museum and a playhouse would be nice to have nearby but not a necessity. All I really need is a nearby bookstore, theater & a mall.

8) At this point in my life, I'm 100% good with renting for the rest of my life.

Sch1zz can talk about Ontario better than me, but out here in BC it's pretty expensive. It's the best province in terms of nature and natural beauty, though. If you've ever been to the PNW it's that but better. You've probably heard about housing prices in Vancouver, which are no lie. There are other municipalities that make up Metro Vancouver that are cheaper, but I'd still expect to pay more than $800. I wouldn't say it's impossible to find something sub $800 but it'd probably be in Surrey.

I live over across the water on Vancouver Island in the capital Victoria. We're a lot smaller (370K population) but we have the best weather in country easy as it's mild all year round, and while it's rainy it rains less than Vancouver. If you're young and single I don't recommend it because you'll get bored as fuck here, though. It's small and uneventful unless you like doing outdoorsy type shit, though there is a small but vibrant local community. We have a reputation for being "home of the newly wed or nearly dead" for a reason. It's also somewhat expensive and housing can be challenging over here as well.

I don't know if any Canadian BCTer's can speak about Alberta, but Calgary might be worth looking at for you, I think.

Dude in my Japanese class said he liked Trump. Not sure if he just wanted to give a different answer than everyone else but he's gettin' side eye from me til the end of the semester.

Jerry Jones more woke than the Steelers, Seattle and your local faves?

Look in the eye of this owner and feel very ashamed for Richard 'we need to hold hands' Sherman and the rest of these scaredy cats. Scam Newton. Actually, let me just focus on Sherman. All that loud talk and blah blah blah. I see you. Now, Jerry Jones has a hell of a lot of privilege but, i mean, look at dude. He lives in Texas. The NFL is bigger than Trump. They could easily manipulate the message. And they are starting to feel their balls. Man, this whole past few months got me all over the place. I'll still won't fuck with them until Kap gets a job.

Hot Take: I don't want Kaepernick to get a QB job.

I'm afraid someone will put out a bounty on him, and some defensive lineman will hit him in an illegal manner and injure him seriously for $$$. I'm less fearful of this as the NFL is trying out this kumbaya unity thing, but you never know...

Honestly, every major "big 3" city suffers a bit of what Zekes mentioned in terms of cost. Toronto and Montreal are suffering from increased renting costs. I think we're up to nearly $2000/mo on average here, maybe a couple hundred less for a 1-bedroom condo. Be sure to take into account the fact that we pay a significant amount more for Internet/phone and such than y'all do.

2) Haven't really thought about being close to the border or not. Any particular benefits to living close or far? I don't mind either way at the moment.

Nah, but I figured maybe if you live in a more northern state it'd make life easy. I guess flights are a little cheaper, and you can more easily capitalize on deals only available on the US. I'll drive into Buffalo to pick something up on the cheap for instance.

3) I like the cold better than the heat. The only thing that usually pisses me off is slipping on ice.

I regret to inform you the only place you won't really suffer from this is BC.

Weird suggestion, but have you looked to Moncton/Fredericton?

If you're good with that, you can live on the outside of the GTA and stay within your budget.

E: You can find something here on the east or west end (Scarborough or Etobicoke), that's city housing, and the max you'll pay is like $1100. They get bad reps, but it's better than shelling out for private owned options and co-op, so.

If Kaep get squaded up, he needs to make sure they protect him.

Outside of that, I fear for him on the street, not the field.

The hate TTGO gets always makes me laugh. I honestly don't know how you couldn't like the show if you read comics regularly.

It is alright and at times genuinely entertaining. I have grown to disliking it over time because it is literally all that airs on CN. Like 80% of the day is TTGO.

It’s so annoying & grating tbh. It feels like one of those bad cartoons Kids WB would greenlight to rip off Spongebob back in like 2003

I'm glad I do not watch cable anymore lol

1)Decides to start a business

2)Takes out a 40K loan

3)Now need a business plan.

What part of the game is this?
I was like "how tf/why tf are you taking out a loan when you don't have a plan?"

How do these gaffers exist? If I did half the things these people do I would be dead.

I am lucky my bank doesn't charge me for postage on my statements. They would laugh my ass out talking about some 40k just because.

Slay. When does your coast to coast "kneeling at your bbq" event for the white supremacists start? I need to know how many Polaroids i should bank before you get started.
