What is going on?

Lucifer became a rock star and a politician at some point, and knocked some poor girl up. Now we have his demon spawn running around. Top it off with alternate universe shenanigans and you have a stew going, baby!

While the show wasn’t as strong as season 11, it was a lot damn better than the transition from season 5-6, so there is a lot of hope for season 13 (lucky 13). It seems that long time staff members Andrew Dabb and Robert Singer know what they are doing.

We're reaching the point when I've officially been watching this show for more than half of my life (I'm 25 now). That feels extremely weird. Last season was pretty good, though not as good as the preceding season. I hope they can keep on delivering some entertaining episodes, 'cause I'm on board with this show until its end.

It's absolutely bonkers how this show keeps going, almost to the point where I'm not sure how many stories they have left to tell. Like the well has to be getting dry...right?

I'm still enjoying the show, even if it isn't as good as 3-5. I hope it keeps going.

There was a slump after S5 but S11 was incredible.

Marathoned the entire series for the first time a few weeks/month back,
im ready.

That's good to know. I'm on season 10 and it's a been a bit of a drag the last few seasons. I've been slowly churning through season 7 through 10 for the last 3 years. I'm glad it picks back up.

I personally want it to end so that shows like Constantine can take it's place and live for 10 seasons to adapt every awesome comic story.

But while the show is nowhere near cancelation, we enjoy the ride

Season 12 is awesome, I should add. One of my favorite seasons and my fiancee's actual favorite.

(The pre-Pellegrino Lucifer stuff was shaky in the first 9 episodes though.)

No, keep Gabriel dead. Gabriel's journey from antagonist to supporter of the Winchesters and humanity made his death so heartbreaking and impactful.

Besides if were going to bring back characters there is a giant list actresses that should return first, if at all.

That's a given probably. Only question is who did Dean unknowingly impregnate back in the early seasons to give us that legacy teenage Winchester hunter to make a spin off of?

There are so many former female Supernatural characters I would love to see again even if only briefly. Like I wonder what happened to that woman who was infatuated with Sam and gave him that love potion.

if t was impartial i wouldnt have a problem. or if it were accurate. but most of the living cast of supernatural is women, and most of the dead supporting characters are men, to the point that i hope we never see garth again because im sure hes dead next time.

The treatment of women on the show has been a known issue for years. Misha Collins himself has commented on it. It isn't some imaginary thing people are making but sure, feel free to keep arguing with people when they mention it as if they're crazy.

Yes, everyone seems to die on this show. But it's the overall treatment of women that is the problem, coupled with the way they kill them. Charlie was written out of character and died due to the "females bickering" trope, only to literally be thrown into a bathtub. You would think the backlash from that would have been enough to convince the writers they're not handling women well.

So instead, they kill off Eileen, a great disabled character they were only just starting to develop, in the opening scene of an episode without even a single line of dialogue.

If you don't think it's an issue, feel free. That's fine. But it's an issue that even the cast is aware of. Pretending it doesn't exist is just silly.

Part of the issue is the fanbase itself, another part is they're constantly introducing female characters so when it comes time to kill someone off the list is mostly women. Outside the boys and Cas, it's mostly women that get introduced. And those three are essentially immune to death, so everyone else around them constantly dies. As a result they keep killing off the show's women.

At the same time, the women are almost never given good deaths. That and they kill off characters they absolutely didn't need to, like Eileen and Charlie. They need to learn how to create drama and set stakes without killing off characters.

There's definitely an issue with how they treat female characters, but it's also exacerbated by other issues they have with writing the show. They need to be willing to end a season without killing off a bunch of characters for once, that'd go a long way towards helping things. That and learning how to juggle a larger cast.

eileen died in the same manner that mick did, except that we knew that they were gonna get at her. does her having dialog suddenly make her death mean something more?

Let's hope. I wasn't digging the whole men of letters crap last season until the final episodes. Though to be fair, it came off a pretty damn good season with God in 11.

Yup I'm a huge Supernatural fan and my other Supernatural friends thought I was pretty rough on my opinions of season 12 but I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that season 11 was really really good with both great mythology episodes and great self-contained episodes. In retrospect I don't think 12 was a bad season but it was always going to be hard to match the quality of 11 considering 11 was the best season we got since 5.

That being said, I think season 13 is shaping up to being pretty good thus far. Looks like we are in for some cool stuff and I am super happy that Mark Pellegrino is on board with this show again!

BMoL plotline was awful. Jessica Jones-tier avoidance of any and all potentially interesting plot-lines and had like 0 nuance

Alternate world? Grown ass angel out the womb? This show is (has gotten?) so damn silly, but I can see these plot points being a lot of fun

lol at Cas dying.....AGAIN. Man he coming back next episode, whatever. And I'm also going to pretend Rowena ain't dead, cause they can't be serious with that off screen CGI ass death

Crowley on the other hand? You know the show was serious about his death, and it was a solid sendoff too. RIP

BMoL started off super interesting then they kinda cast it to the wind. Super interesting to know there were more MoL factions, wonder if there's a Canadian one :p.

Alternate world is a cool concept(bit strange in a religious sense...is Chuck just God of this reality or is he God in that alternate world too?)

He's not an angel, he's the Antichrist (Again) and he wasn't fully grown outta the womb, he just grows very, very quickly.

Cas has to die, always. It's shock factor for the fans and a reason to cause the boys to really want to kill Lucifer. Like they wanted to kill him before, but now they WANT to kill him. Rowena ain't dead, there's no way. I refuse to believe it. But yeah Crowley seems to be dead :(. Which I'm happy and sad about. I'm happy he went out an ally. He started off as a villian and through character development sacrifices himself to save the boys. And they started running out of ways to use him so glad he's dead before they ruined him. But onthe other hand...he dead :(
