Gran Turismo Sport demo coming Oct. 9

Is it always under maintenance?

I started it up again and it showed me my first car again like it was the first time I booted it up. In other words it didn’t save.

They need to fix the shadows.

Is that article still valid going by the date? If so, thanks.

So, 4k PS4 Pro 30fps. In 1080p mode 60fps

The improvements extend beyond gameplay too. Since the Gran Turismo series moved onto PlayStation 3, Polyphony has opted for 30fps replays, halving frame-rate in order to layer on additional effects and deploy higher detail models. This remains the case for Pro users running the 4K mode, and for base PS4 hardware operating at 1080p. However, Polyphony unlocks the frame-rate with Pro at full HD, meaning you get the full package of additional replay visual enhancements, and a (mostly) 60Hz output. Frame-rate only drops when many cars are on-screen simultaneously. In this respect, the performance profile in these unlocked replays is similar to base PS4 gameplay.

Is anyone else’s fans going full speed at certain times?

I will. I already downloaded it so all that's left is to wait.

My Pro goes crazy loud during that forest scene.

I’m on a slim, and I agree, every once in awhile in the scapes the fan goes nuts.

I’m going to stick with my slim now after thinking of buying a pro for the improved framerate during replays ( in 1080p mode)

This is not the Next-gen Racing Graphics Face-off thread, eager warrior.
I apologize if I offended anyone. I never commented on that thread you mention. I'm not interested in graphic comparisons. But I'd really hate to see those ugly shadows on 9/17.

Just watching the Bathurst 1000 at Mt Panorama this afternoon.
There was a safety car for a kangaroo on the track.
Gran Turismo v Tekken anyone?

I think GT Sport is a sponsor for the event or the television broadcast? I think I heard them saying brought to you by GT Sport, etc.

You’re allowed to post .gifs of GTS in a GTS thread, good or bad. Don’t even remotely worry about it.

As long as they can avoid the stairstep aliasing on shadows in the interiors that plagued GT5, then I can deal with some messy shadows during replays.

Doesn't seem possible with the real-time environment shadows in place and hogging up resources on this hardware.

Even pCars 2 on PC Ultra settings still has the same noticeable dynamic shadow issues and flickering in spots.

I don't think people know how expensive shadows are on hardware .
The better the more resources going to be used up plus this game going for 60fps.

Can you play against cpu in daily races or are you forced to play with other people? What's the primary way to earn money and cars once you finish the campaign?

If you need to win online races to get more money, than Im not sure this is my kind of game. I like that in drive club,no matter what mode you play you will get points and slowly work toward unlocking the next car.

Hopefully in gts, just beating dailyrace wigh cpu will still give you decent money to spend on unlocking cars.

Yeah, the issue gets amplified in replays where the camera is far out but it's actually zoomed in, so you're basically zooming in on a low LOD shadow. Looks fine during actual gameplay for the most part though.

Will my Driving Force GT work with this?
I can't find a supported wheel list for the life of me

It says in the server message that progress is only saved when online, so it's not saving anything yet not even our display settings.

So is it all but confirmed there won't be rainy weather?

Kaz wrote in the PS Blog post the other day that we will be racing in varied weather conditions.

Credits can be earned in Arcade mode custom races too, so online is not the only way after campaign in order to earn credits.

Press Options button on the main menu, in the settings you can see supported wheels.

Your DFGT will only work if you use something like the GIMX software. I use that with my DFGT and it's perfect.

The only officially supported Logitech wheel is G29 and GIMX emulates it.
