All of the paths seem pretty decent math-wise, though if you really dont want to specialize in animals (it doesnt have to be the only thing you do) you should just restart. You are basically nowhere in overall progression.

ConcernedApe mentioned there was a reference hidden in the game he'd never seen mentioned, and I haven't heard this one called out...
His influences seemed a lot more console-oriented in general, though. Lots of SNES and PSX.
Well you do have a restart. If you did something wrong on any giving day. Just force quit game, you will lose progress for thst day, boot game again and u start off in your bed again.

Dont sweat it for your first season. Should be selling everything to get yourself bootstrapped. In Summer or Fall you can start holding back some produce or animal products as gifts. For now, just give flowers you pick around town.
Thanks. Also, I fenced my soil in but every morning some of the land turns hard and I have to hoe it again. Is there a way to keep it ready for crops?
First day of Fall. Been pretty much hooked on mining with minimal effort developing crops. Hasn't been good for income and I'm constantly sapped for energy but has been really enjoyable which feels like the main objective. Sent my pickaxe away for a couple of days to be upgraded which forces me to redo my farm.

It doesn't "need" to be done by the start of Year 3. You can repeat it whenever you want after the first time it happens.

There's no particular goal that needs to be done within the soft 3 year limit. Once 3 years have passed, your farm will be given a rating by a certain someone. If you receive the max rating, then you will be granted a statue that gives you free iridium ores every day. However, after the 3 years have passed, you can be re-rated. Simply offer a diamond to that certain someone and they'll offer you another rating whenever you're ready.

Couple of questions which may be very silly questions:
How do I get a silo? I built the coop and bought a couple of chickens but don't really know what to do with them and can't really feed them?
How do I cook??? I've learned recipes from the TV but don't actually know how to cook anything. Is there something I need to buy/make?

It's all true
Really you want the silo before the coop, it's dumb that the game asks you to build the coop first. Without a silo, you have to buy hay from marnie. You get the silo the same way as the coop, just buy it from the carpenter's shop.
You collect recipes but you can't cook them until you've upgraded your house one time which adds a kitchen.
The fucking game...annoying as helllllll...just let me have more energy.
TROUT SOUP is a big deal I've found out. Crushing that Energy bar.
I feel like my morning routine of watering plants and then going to forage on the beach takes up so much goddamn time.
I reached level 40 in the Mines and have found 2 Iron Ores so far. Mother fuckers.
Finally met everyone in the town...I'm trying to build some goddamn shit but I need more Iron Ore to build goddamn sprinklers to give me a goddamn break in the morning.
My God.
I chose fisher instead of trapper because all I get in my goddamn trap is fucking newspaper. Fuck that shit.

I put my life into Blueberries.
Wait - maybe different seasons. I planted a hundred million blueberries day one of summer and still nothing has bloomed. BLOOM SOME FUCKING BLUEBERRIES GUY.

Unless you're building your coop in the dead of Winter, you don't really need the Silo first. Just let your chickens roam free on your farm, it's chill. But yeah, you shouldn't go too long without a Silo or else rain will getcha.
The Mines has phases. 1-40 is caves and has mostly copper. 41-80 (I think it's 80. Around there anyway) is frozen and has mostly copper. 80+ is magma and has mostly gold.

Aside from the sprinklers, in the endgame you will be able to automate
harvesting
I don't think there's a way to automate planting or fertilizing.
Get married and use your spouse as free labor.
