I've been hooked on this game a lot lately, and I feel like battlefield isn't the first place people look for a great soundtrack, but I have found myself sitting in the menu screens just wanting to enjoy the new themes.

The vocals are stirring and really impressive. It feels like a lot of care was put into the music for this dlc.

Even if you're not a shooter fan, add this to your playlist if you happen to be a total nerd like me and listen to a lot of game soundtracks.

I've noticed BF1's OST since last year. Definitely a huge surprise.

I don't want to pick a best OST because I think it's pointless, but Nier Automata gets my vote for best sound engineering. I think it's impressive from a technical level, and can be appreciated no matter what one's music preference is.

Persona 5 is my pick too. Standout song: Life Will Change (with Lyrics) But I love the whole soundtrack.


It's been a great year for soundtracks. Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Total War: Warhammer 2 have fantastic OSTs. My biggest surprise was Unexplored's soundtrack--particularly the main theme; it's really short but so, so good. Any of them could be my favourites were it a different year.

Cuphead. I haven't even bought the game yet but I've listened to a BUNCH of the OST.

Sonic Mania. Love it love it love it. Bought it on vinyl.

Snake Pass. David Wise <3. Such a lovely and relaxing OST. It made it hard to get as mad at that game as I should have been at times.

Breath of the Wild. The ever so slight ambiance is beautiful. I've loved every Animal Crossing OST and Manaka Kataoka brought that same floaty and subtle beauty to the Zelda universe while still bringing in those booming triumphant melodies during boss fights.

Nothing has come close to Persona 5 so far this year. I like the atmospheric score to BotW, but it's not really the kind of music I would listen to a lot outside of the game (whereas I've downloaded the one for P5). The only OST I could see beating Persona 5 would be Odyssey (I tend to really like Nintendo's catchy orchestral / big band arrangements).

It's a shame it's so hard to find Ops games for DLC maps, because the music is awesome in them.

Hoping they figure out how to implement a dynamic soundtrack for Conquest.
