Looks like this is going to be one of those portable only games so the wife doesn't make fun of me...
I mean both were serviceable in Chronicles... actually the music was awesome in that game. So it's disappointing this sounds more like X than Chronicles.

That's looking like something...yeah.
Still on the fence on this game, a lot of the world-building and art design stuff looks very interesting but then I see things like this and rethink that feeling.

Really want to like this. I have the special edition on preorder, but I'm hating the fanservice and cutesy anime design on many female characters. Has there been anything shown to imply armor changing like the original? Changed Melias to the Jungle armor as it didn't look as revealing. Sucks that all of Sharla's looked bad.

I don't think these guest artists are helping the game out much. Especially the baten kaitos and this new one.

I'll wait for the full game to release to judge the music. No doubt though that X had a lack of music in the worst way, I'm really hoping XC2 bucks that trend.
I love the rollercoaster reactions here. While some of the blades are questionable, I don't think those cutscenes are going to be too obtrusive (like once, with a place in the menu to watch them again). I do like the designs overall.
I think they're trying to cater a bit more to the otaku fans, which might result in better sales in Japan (maybe), but a risk in the West.

I like spear maidens. And though my lizard brain undeniably likes jiggling, I can't see that it serves this character/design in any meaningful way.

This is by far Monolith's best job at making 3D realizations of 2D art.

Once again the game rendering engine is doing a great job at really accurately capturing the 2D designs and translating them into 3D.

I really hope they don't "localize" it because the ensuing outrage will be far worse than leaving the design as is.

Considering the fact that it is a worldwide release, and that it is just a little over a month away, yeah, I don't think that's gonna happen. I mean, the game should be content-locked right now and probably in QA and CERT for the final release build.
