I went through the whole PS4 generation without the DualShock battery hindering my game time. Thanks for your concern though.
Thank you for sharing your
personal experience. I've already had that I had to plugin a cable when gaming. Couple of issues, it's annoying, since your movement is hindered and it's always there. But more importantly, in case of the PS4 I now have to sit 1m away from my TV... So unless you always charge your controller after gaming and never play more than 10-12 hours, then it's OK. Just more constraints that you have to take into account.
OR you can say, hmm it's weird Nintendo and Microsoft are able to get 30-40 hours out of these controllers, maybe we should be getting the same quality if we pay the same price? Stop seeing this as an attack on your preferred system, and see it as an obvious improvement that could be made on it when the competition is able to do this.
Mate, I would rather a controller only last 2 hours if it means I don't have to buy fucking rechargeable batteries for it.
It's the 21st century, only toys and tv remotes should be on AA/AAA batteries by now.
Yeah I prefer options and flexibility, but you do you.
