Yeah, they are running in BC gen 2 mode. There are some limitations in this mode, as devs told us.

I expect lots of bugs and glitches day 1. Still, I laugh off the ones I can and move on. You are right. Witcher 1 especially launched in really rough shape. And was patched and improved immensely over time. It never is gonna hurt to wait and you'll probably have a better 1st experience waiting, but I know when buying a CDPR game that they are committed to it for quite a while after launch and I'm fine going along for the ride. My excitement has dwindled a single bit since the O.G. announcement trailer.

Im trying to avoid any possible spoilers, so i won't watch the leaks.
I think the leaks for this game are not as much of a big deal as Last of Us 2, because there is no expectation for the story, even if the leak shows a characters that dies or betrays you it will not give a big reaction cause simply nobody cares at this point for them, there is no prequel or anything to make the community care, until they play the game on 10 Dec obviously.

I have a PS5 and still agree with waiting on the next gen editions.

Even with the day 1 patch this game will have so many bugs and glitches and I have tons of games to hold me over until those next gen editions come out and by then at least most of the major bugs will be patched.
