Yeah exactly.
People keep bringing up Xbox as some sort of proof that PC support will be fine and won’t affect hardware sales.
You mean the company that’s 3rd place in both hardware and software sales? That’s the proof you’re using that Sony’s business will be as successful as it in now? LMFAO. You wouldn’t get pass a first hearing in a court case with that kind of evidence.
Sony’s recent financial report shows they absolutely do not need to put anything on PC. Their console business is the most profitable in the market.
What kind of dumb statement is this shit? 3rd place is now 1st in pc, and smarter with their business. They know consoles wont attract too many people in the future.
There is something called attention retention. People have low attention span. If they are unsatisfied with their console experience, they will go to somewhere. Its why TVs are losing to YouTube. You can get the exact information you need, and can find whatever shit you are looking for.
As for your "PS REPORT", there is something called MTX. I doubt you know that shit though. You know, that thing which made epic tons of money, from that free game? That thing makes tons of money for sony. The amount of money Sony is getting from these games, is much bigger than their 1st party game sales. And because Sony has 120m ps4, there alot of users who spend money on mtx.
Here is simple math. 20m users spend 10$ on any f2p game battle pass for 1 month. Sony gets 3$. 3x20=$60m that is $60m from f2p battle pass games. That is $720m a year from those f2p games. This isnt counting all dlc, game sales, and other shit sales. That is the benifit of getting bigger player base. This is something you kids ignore alot.
Sony is home to 3rd party games. Its highest exclusive game they sold is spiderman and god of war. That is 1/5th,1/6th of their player base. Spderman is iconic super hero. God of war existed for long time. Now compare those stats to switch games. AC on switch sold 32.63m as of april. That is 1 year, on 86m console. You know those franchise, which I mentioned for playstation? Spiderman was 2018, and god of war was 2017. Both saw price decrease, which AC didnt. It sold that much for 60$.
Sony main bread and butter is 3rd party games. Their exclusive being on pc wont hurt them. Same for Xbox.
Funny story, Xbox was so shit, that is sold 55m consoles, despite having shit exclusives. Because people played it for 3rd party games. Same as how they do for their ps4, and now doing it for ps5.
DLC, MTX, and GAME SALES gives these companies 30% cut from those games. There are more than 1 thousand games on those consoles. That is alot of money, which they wont lose, because its not their games. Its 3rd party games, which exists on other console, and pc.
Sony putting their games on pc, means extra money for them.
Bottom line, both consoles wont get hurt if they sold their games on pc. Their money maker is those 3rd party games. Once those games are gone, both consoles will lose alot of money.
