Art direction looks so cool. These games look better than CGI movies to my eyes. I know they're technically inferior in terms of fidelity, but in terms of visual impact they're so much more appealing to me. The fact that they're playable just seals the deal.

I finished the game as confused as I was when I started. No answers, nothing clearing up, everything too complicated for no reason. I couldn't stand the final scene on the beach, I didn't know what to do and I kept killing myself over and over, going insane

Ah yeah right, a me problem, the game is definitely not known for being confusing af. Everyone I know who played it had the same problem lol Maybe it was easier to understand to some people than others, but don't pretend it's not overly complicated for nothing.
There was stuff with sometimes 2 hours of cutscenes where I didn't understand anything, and these 2 hours could be summed up in 4 lines of text, which means there really is a story telling issue.
