No picture but I was that clueless new guy at one point.

Joined the Army at 17 and had absolutely no clue about how vehicles worked. At my first duty station we did a weekly pmcs (preventive maintenance checks and services) on our vehicles where everybody helped out. It got very cold in winter and one day my squad leader told me the air was low in the tires and I needed to get some winter air from the Motor Sergeant. These fuckers had me wandering around the unit asking for winter air until the 1st Sergeant finally clued me in.

Never fell for another one but damn that was embarrassing. And funny. Now.

I was in the Navy and yup, experienced the same thing. 1st day at my new duty station after A school. I was sent to find a Machinist punch. Lol we used to send new guys all over the base looking for similar items. Go ask petty officer so and so for Elbow Grease. Lol "How much do I need?" "However much you think it takes to clean the bulkhead." Lol they would leave and we would call over. Next thing you know they are coming back with a bottle of water but wearing a respirator coveralls and gloves. "What are you doing?" "They said it was hazardous and I need to wear all this stuff.," "ok just be careful!" Good times man
