Trust no one. Eat steaks.
Beyond Good and Evil HD for 240 Allards? Best deal on there.

Bought today Stacking and SMB (this game is crack).

Nothing interesting so far, not even BGE HD, I already have it on GameCube.

If you buy Magic the Gathering 2012 (which is a fantastic game!) and have no interest in the physical card game, may I please have your promo code? I am a quite active player myself and I'd love to get a few more cards!

Grabbed...

Fancy Pants Adventures,
Flotilla,
Stacking,
The Baconing

Going to get the Pinball FX packs once I've got some more points.

My picks:

BG&E
Super Meat Boy
Pinball FX2 Core
Pinball FX Marvel:

Maybe:
Pinball FX Classic
Civ: Revolutions (is a little hard to find in Mexico)

If you don't have it, at least try:
Risk
Magic 2012

I'm interested but highly confused by the Pinball FX2 add ons/game

searching for it on xbox.com i see there is:
Pinball FX - free
Pinball FX core - 400

what do you get in the free Pinball FX2? Is Core an essential add on?

also:
Pinball FX Marvel - 400 includes 4 tables
Pinball FX Captain america - 240 is only 1 table for captain america?

kinda weird pricing structure

My Kinect bundle should show up tomorrow so I will definitely be grabbing these games:

Super Meat Boy (been dying to play this one for ages!)
Outrun (since the PSN version is impossible to get now :S )

This sale isn't only for Gold Members is it?
I'm not sure I can afford to pay for LIVE just yet with all the other Black Friday temptations, haha.

Core has 4 tables, 2 of which are pretty good IMO. It's not essential at all as every table can be bought individually. Downloading the free Pinball FX2 game is like downloading the portal to get the rest of the tables. I think Core and the Marvel tables are worth getting for $10. Oh and there are short trials for every single table so download Pinball FX2 right now and you can get a taste of every table.

I wouldn't hold your breath for a Clash of Heroes sale since it had one recently. It's like a 30 or 40 hour game, it totally deserves $15.

I have Civ Rev on disc but it's a pick up and play game, I kind of wish it had been an XBLA release in the first place (besides 200 gamerscore versus 1000 problem), either way I probably would pay $20 for it if I didn't already have the disc...it's too hard to play a game like that on mobile anyway. The game has a lot of depth because the achievements are split up across lots of playthroughs and ending styles. If the odd numbered achievements bother you, you might have to be careful with it as it has some weird numbering. I can also recommend Tropico 3 which I am totally digging if you like games like that.

For XBLA sales:

I would get Core FX2 pack if you like pinball games at all, and make sure some of your friends are playing it because it makes it much more interesting.

I picked up Sega Rally, I remember being unimpressed by the demo and something about the controls is still a little strange to me but I love the levels and there is a good amount of modes (championship, quick race, time trial, classic mode plus online / mp stuff)

Also grabbed Fancy Pants and Flotilla, Flotilla is awesome from the 20 mins I put into it. Kind of like Star Control with strategy sections for space combat instead of action.

Yeah, probably the XBLA GOTY, this. Got some free DLC today too.

How many tracks are in this? The demo implies four, but are there loads of different sections like other rally games or just... four tracks?

I want to like Flotilla, but I find it so hard to play. Moving your ship and moving the camera both seem to be mapped to the same buttons and so I find it very difficult to control effectively. It's probably better on PC.

I think there at least 5 tracks and a bunch of cars, but the last achievement is related to unlocking stuff so maybe there are more tracks..oh wait I think the classic tracks are different ones, someone who is Sega Rally expert can probably answer better (where are Trojan and Isamu when you need them) I had the hardest time with the snow track, I thought I was going to get 1st place in championship but I kept getting rubber banded or something on one of the ice patch turns...if you get 1st place in championship there is some lakeside track as a final race (and an achievement if you come in 1st there)

Flotilla's controls didn't seem bad to me since it's turn based?? It was a bit confusing to me that you have to press LB and RB to move the "Y axis" (up/down), I don't see how PC would be that much better but is it actually on Steam or something? The UI design is stellar, I wish it were easier to make UIs that slick

Weapon of Choice is by the Shoot 1up/Serious Sam Double D team right?

PinballFX2 (which is free) is just the hub of the game, you will have to buy the tables. It comes with the trial versions of the "Core" Pack (so if you buy the Core later, it will out be an unlock key). You do not need to buy the Core pack to buy other stuff, but if you do not buy it you will always have trial versions of those 4 tables in your hub list (kind of annoying since they will not be greyed out like the tables you do not have, but it will only say it is the trial version when you try to launch a table).

Classic Pack (also on sale for 400 MS points) is the 4-pack tables from the original first PinballFX (if you have that game you can transfer the tables for free, no need to rebuy them).

Marvel Pack comes with 4 tables, but not FF and Captain America, those two are two extra tables, each for 240 pts each.

You can find the discounted packs on the promotion page: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/promotions/black-friday

I am trying hard not to buy Super Meat Boy because people say it is hard and frustating and I do not have time to play it properly (learn the mechanics) due to huge catalog. Should I?

Also, how is Fancy Paints? Enjoyble?

Yes. There's really nothing to learn if you've ever played a 2D platformer before, the mechanics feel right instantly. It's certainly difficult, but even if you just played half the game it's still more than worth 400pts. The music, in particular, is excellent.

Also, how is Fancy Paints? Enjoyble?

It's not brilliant, really. It relies a lot on momentum to gather speed, and so if you lose that momentum or are in an area where you can't gain it, the game isn't really much fun at all.

Yeah, I might be willing to give it a pass since it's turn based and you've got the time to make those mistakes, but it is still fairly awkward, or at least I found it so.

Weapon of Choice is by the Shoot 1up/Serious Sam Double D team right?

Yep

Played the trial of Happy Tree Friends. I'm on the fence. Was enjoyable in a way but the demo doesn't express what kind of challenge there might be in the full game.
