It seems Capcom is interested in staggered releasing again.

Dragon’s Dogma release date set for for US, Europe

Capcom has announced a surprisingly staggered launch plan for upcoming action RPG Dragon’s Dogma.

The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 game is due to hit the US on March 27, but will not arrive in Europe until May 1. A Japanese launch date has not been confirmed.

Finally, all is as it should be once again. Now about all those special editions you EU guys keep getting...

...I'll probably bite. There's too much Monster Hunter and Demon's/Dark Souls stuff going on for me not to get it.

Cool. From the videos I've seen, I liked what I saw so I'll probably pick it up even though I do expect it to drop in price quickly.

Moving back into the dark ages of localisation delays I see... (truth be told, it's nowhere near as bad as it as back in the old days - or as it is with present day Nintendo...)

I'm buying Skyrim in January, Kingdom of Amalur in February, this in March. Man, so many RPGs lined up for me. Plus the Old Republic during all of that.

Sigh. If I'm going to wait a month and a bit for the european launch I may as well wait a bit extra for it to get down to £20. >.>

I'm in. Was interested once I found out Itsuno was director. Sold once I looked up more material after that.

What else is packing March again? And if this really is an RPG (still not sure), it would be especially good for Capcom to go ahead and do a PC version.

Christ isn't Mass Effect 3 in March? Yarg, they need to space these RPG's.

Gonna pick it up. Game looks great and that grab mechanic intrigues me.

I still don't know whether i'm interested in this game or not.
I like the concept of fast action combat combined with a medieval open world RPG,it's just that artistically the game doesn't really "click" with me.Specifically the character and creature designs.I think i'd have prefered it much more visually if they took more artistic liberties and added more fantasy elements in both characters and creatures (like Monster Hunter.)I think Capcom's 3D artists did some pretty amazing works this gen in terms of character modeling (lRE5 for example) but here the NPCs look a bit strange. The environments look nice though.

The pawn trading system sounds interesting although it remains to be seen how relevant it will be in terms of gameplay. Also i don't know much about the story yet but i can't say i'm intrigued so far...

Demon's Souls was a bomba? Or are you claiming this game won't get good word of mouth? If it's the later, then I agree.

He's probably saying that since this game cost more to make than Demon's Souls and might put up comparable numbers, comparatively it would be a failure.

Couple this with Asuras Wrath and I fear for Capcom's future for building new IPs.

Dragon Dogma is already dead.

Seriously though, why do they still do this.

Man, I've never even seen video of this game in action.

Bomba for this game because Capcom spent more money making it than they did for everything else.

Activision's MW3 would most definitely be considered a bomba if it sold Skyrim's numbers instead of MW2 numbers.
That's only a few days after Operation Raccoon City... Guess Capcom really needs this one out by this fiscal year.
I can't see how this will help sales for either game in a month where ME3 launches. -_-
A Monster Hunter HD would probably sell more than this game.
or a properly managed Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3/Numbered Street Fighter...

I secretly want to play this game...on my PC. I might still pick it up on PS3 several months down the road if a port never surfaces though. The create-a-player options look too good to pass up.
