It actually runs now...still takes forever to change to some screens (research, etc)...but there's still no trade system, civilian stuff doesn't work properly - even though it still charges you in the budget, I'm sure there's a big long list somewhere but that's just off the top of my head. Turns take forever to process too

Mafia II (only if I can find a mod that adds blood decals or model damage)

I have an awful lot of games to play right now, though. A little sure about the AI Shogun II...particularly important as I only play single player.

I would like to know this as well, I have Shogun 2 with all the DLC attached for a grand total of...$13.65. I want to add more Total War, but have to hear more opinions about the other games.

Well... I just bought Empire & Napoleon Total War - Game of the Year Edition myself during the Thanksgiving sale last month because I am interested in the military history of that specific time period. But much of the general consensus that I had heard all seemed to point to a subpar experience compared to previous games. Napoleon fixed or removed some of the problems with Empire, but apparently there are issues with general bugginess, broken battle AI (fixed to a small degree in Napoleon), diplomacy (broken in Empire and then removed in Napoleon), pretty high system reqs, and if I am not mistaken, Napoleon removed the broken Naval combat that was in Empire?

I found it worthwhile enough to buy it within the past month even given all the comments I had read and heard about its many issues. Don't let my previous comment keep you from checking it out if that is what you are interested in doing. If you have to choose though, I would definitely go with Rome: Total War - Complete, Medieval II Gold, and Total War: Shogun 2.

Unfortunately that is what I expect from all Paradox releases now. I have to wait them all down until they are patched and on sale. Really hate that whole "large patches released as expansion packs" mentality too. I hope they wise up about this kind of thing eventually.

Apparently you get a better chance of spawning satan's room if you take as little damage as possible in both the level and the boss. Try to go to every room in the level, and do everything you can.

Took me about 45 mins for him to show up, so it is not gonna be quick. Also, he is sorta tough, so don't die fighting him. That would not be good.

Issac is a shitty game based entirely on RNG and the achievement is no different. Some people get it on their first try, others spend hours have over a dozen Satan rooms and no luck still.

The story is very basic. There are no cutscenes, you have to infer the story through bits and pieces here and there. If you don't want to play versus you should at least play co-op. The offline AI is very very very stupid.

A friend says he didn't like the game. I don't really have any friends I can easily team up with to play it. If it's not going to have a good enough single-player I'll pass. I know it's Valve, but if it's not HL caliber, I'll wait for more stuff to go on sale and save a few GB of space on my constrictive SSD.

I just read on Edmund's Formspring that the reason Achievements don't work on the Mac version is because the Mac version doesn't have achievements. Not because it's "broken". Fucking hell. This game needs to be reprogrammed NOW. Mine still doesn't even record my play time correctly. Valve shouldn't have even let this one on Steam like this.
