The problem at CBS is that Jim Nantz has everything locked up, and Verne does College Football. He will always be third. At Fox, he is second behind Joe Buck, and first in College Football, despite not having much college football.
CBS: Jim Nantz is first for NFL, NCAA basketball, golfing. Verne does College Football
ESPN/ABC: Musburger for college, Mike Tirico for NFL, Dan Shulman for baseball
Fox: Joe Buck for NFL, MLB
NBC: Bwhahahahahah, no.

I believe the theory is that the Big 12 primary media rights in a couple years are going to be the bidding war to end all bidding wars between Fox and ESPN.

I really want to see us win this game. We've had a pretty bad history in bowls, but we have a very good team this year with some seniors that I would love to see go out on a good note.

He'd be a fool to do it, but we'll be fine even if he does leave. Our running game isn't what held us back in our 2 losses this year. Our receivers had some key drops and our defense just couldn't stop the run, especially against Alabama.

One of those wasn't so much a bad pass as it was the receiver tripping. Childs looked like he was supposed to cut back, which would have likely led to a completion with that throw.
Maybe, but he had 4-5 yards to "come back" on, cause that ball landed pretty short of where he was.

So weird having it be our defense which is standing out (well, maybe not so much as standing out as not sucking terribly) and not the offense. Of course it is still early.

Our offense always starts really slowly in bowl games for some reason. At least our defense has been solid so far.

That reminds me of when D-Mac had his Heisman hopes dashed during a horrible game against Tennessee who had a terrible run defense and yet completely stopped 3 future NFL starting RBs.
