Any big name that gets the appropriate buzz will sell a boatload in November. People have much more to spend and generally purchase more than during others times of the year.

Everyone thought that AC2 would bomb next to MW2 and it didn't. Last year hardly anyone pushed their release back for MW3 and most good games that were decently advertised did well.

RE6 will do fine in November and beyond.

Good grief, this must be Capcom's busiest year.

- RE:Operation Raccoon City
- RE: Revelations
- RE6
- Asura's Wrath
- Street Fighter X Tekken
- DMC HD Collection
- DmC: Devil May Cry

Am I missing anything?

Spring: February-April: Asura's Wrath, Revelations, SF X T, DMC HD collection, Operation Raccoon City

Early Summer: Dragon's Dogma

Fall DmC

Winter Holiday: RE 6

DmC and Dragon's Dogma could be wild cards, so maybe they'll probably be released earlier this year. I would expect more rehashes/sequels in the Summer-Fall quarters.

RE6 has probably been in development since long before they got Wii U devkits. Could definitely see a RE6 Gold, though.

Vita, there's kind of no good excuse if it doesn't have a version. Those devkits have been in the wild since early 2010.

Leon still better have cheesy one liners.

I hope that co-op will be a completely separate thing from the main game. I loved RE5 Co-Op, but I'd rather a focused singleplayer experience this time around.

I can't imagine Capcom passing on a Wii U version. Since they have a capable engine going it's probably an easy port, and I can't imagine that they will say "no" to making a quick buck. If Capcom's 3DS support is any indication Capcom will probably one of the leading supporters of the console in the beginning.
I could be mistaken, but it is the same engine on 3DS more or less no? I don't think it'll come to either handhelds, but if it did come to PSV, I don't see why it wouldn't come to 3DS too.

I'd be shocked if Claire weren't Leon or Christ's opposite player.

So it's pretty much

Leon/somebody
Chris/somebody
Ada quest
Mystery character quest

You know it's going to be Jill again ...

Claire :(

She's not even the star of her own CV section in Darkside Chronicles. Leon is telling the story even if he wasn't even there.

You have a PS3 or 360 right? Nothing about WiiU will make this game any better.

And reading the IGN link, more action horror akin to RE4 and 5? FAIL. Damnit. Will hold more judgement until more solid info and video comes in.

i dont have either and i plan getting it on pc or wii u which i intend to buy and hope for pointer controls which destroys dual analog...

That they have a version of MT Framework on 3DS doesn't mean that it would be even remotely an easy port.

I thought there were 3 story arcs total?

- Leon
- Chris
- Ada

IGN said:
It appears as though the Ada storyline will become available to players after the Chris and Leon arcs have been completed, plus a third primary narrative featuring a new character. Any of the three main story branches

Or is Ada's not a story arc by itself?

I suck at fast paced action games (ie FPS and the likes) and for that reason I couldn't get into RE5, especially in those encounters where you'd face off against swarms of whatever they were.

I wish for the slower, creepier more subtle stylings of the first 4 games (RE-RE:CV)

Thinking about it, too many playable characters.

I guess people loved the co-op of 5 but I prefer the 4 route, have a main game with only one playable character to make you feel isolated, and then have an optional side game if you really want. I accept Revelations' method because a portable game has different constraints and dividing the game into episodes seems like a good way around them. But man, I just want a game like RE4 again.

Mikami come back to us. :(

Please don't have co-op, and please have extended periods of time where the main characters are alone. RE5 was too actiony for my taste.

Leon is stupid I still don't get the love for him and Chris is boring hopefully they give him a personality this time. Please don't include forced co-op that shit made RE5 extremely frustrating if you don't have a friend to play the co-op with (and playing co-op with strangers is even more frustrating).

Why would they RE 5 followed the formula (or tried to) and was the biggest selling game in the franchise's history.

A while after RE5 was released Capcom said they were going to change it/reboot the formula.

MT Framework runs on the 3DS, but I can't imagine that the 3DS would be able to display RE6's geometry.

Going back to smaller, confined areas in REvelations is not just a design decision, but also a technical one.

This should be #1 on Nintendo's Wii U target list for launch this year. Being serious about third party support and having the horsepower to run games like this aren't worth a damn unless they actually GET the games.
