I won't believe any compliments until I'm a ways into hormones anyway, so don't worry.

And to tie it back to something like a point- the first NaNoWriMo novel I actually finished has a pretty furry feel to its magical realism (the plot's driven by people abruptly turning into anthro animals). And one of the main characters, who's turned into a rabbit, finds out about hasenpfeffer and spends about two chapters in a Cameron-style catatonia, complete with hockey jersey.

So there. A tenuous, manufactured link between furry and Ferris Beuler.

From the source:
