Wait time for codes is 2 hours right? I'll see if I can get another one for any gaffers having trouble.
Also, wow. I noticed depth of field in the demo seemed really pixelated but it looks worse in screenshots. Some people are going to be unhappy.

The Facebook one is still working but I don't know if they have a limited amount of codes they can give out like the Microsoft one.
I'm trying to do this too but the account that I have with both codes unlocked keeps sending me back to the beginning. Looks like it doesn't work after that.

Anyone want to trade a demo code for a Normandy code?
After playing it, the pacing is just crazy fast. It feels like 80% of the choices were just missing and on top of that shepard spoke 'on her own' more often than I liked. Also, in a combat zone, the game has a hard time figuring out which 'action' I want to take; a lot of things are tied to the a button and it messed up for me more than once.

I'm pretty sure it's too late for them to change the running animation. Watching femshep run is hilariously bad.
Then again they did change the walking animations in this build compared to the others from E3 and the leaked beta, so who knows.

I'm in the same boat. I thought it was rather well executed, especially compared to a recent similar and laughable scene in Modern Warfare 3. It makes you appreciate a competently done cinematic.
The music was perfectly toned and heightened the emotional impact of the scene.
I think people are just clinging on to any reason they can to hate on Bioware which I don't understand. These are hard working individuals who care about their craft.

Unfair! I freaking love this series and am super pumped for 3, but that doesn't mean I'm above poking fun at certain things that seem silly to me. And I happen to personally think a ton of the dialogue in the intro section is super cheesy hollywood action movie stuff. Doesn't mean I hate the game or Bioware.

Why the hell am I collecting weapon attachments and armour if I can't equip them in the demo?! Also is there a way to holster your weapons in the demo? I found navigating around during the Earth segment a little jarring and awkward with Shepard running around with his arms outstretched like that.
Otherwise a pretty good and lengthy demo. Can't wait for March 6th!

Okay, demo probably won't be as much of a distraction as I thought it'd be. Gives you a good taste of what ME3 is all about, but it won't be enough to stop me from wrapping up my next two ME2 careers before ME3 launches.

Also did they change Wrex's voice?

Hahahaha. Yeah, those kind of emotional hooks of "let me establish what's at stake in like 2 seconds" are kinda cheap.
Well, it's Mass Effect for sure. I'll repeat myself from the last time we played the demo: Hopefully next time DICE jumps in and helps them with the animations and not just the sound design. They are going for so many cinematic action moments in this game that the way everyone moves just feels out of place.
Sounds different to me, and I played through ME1 3 times a few months ago. I could be crazy though.
Edit: Hmmm, IMDB says you're right. Weird, sounds totally different to me from ME1 and ME2 (which I literally just finished two playthroughs of). Good news, except for the fact I'm going crazy apparently.

FemShep's running animation while aboard the Normandy, or whenever in casual clothes, is horrible in ME2. She runs with her head tilted down and to the right constantly. So weird.

Couldn't agree more. At least the Bioware team that's been working on Mass Effect. The team that put out DA2 really disappointed me last year.

That's unfair. My dislike for the scene has nothing to do with it being a byproduct of me trying to hate BioWare or find fault in the games. I fucking loved Mass Effect 1. ME2 not so much but in some ways the same but for different reasons.
I really, really want to like ME3, but it is what it is and I'm only judging what I've played.

Man, poor Adept didn't get any love from Bioware. Only new "power" is a "biotic" cluster grenade that is like a regular grenade but purple. At least biotics sound cool.
