So can you like, go buy a Vita in a store today?
Yep, for $349.

So "Ridge Racer" retail comes with some kind of DLC season pass. Translation:
"Includes free Gold Pass for more courses and vehicles"
Mine JUST updated for the first time since I got the tracking # last night. It's out for delivery.
Let me know if you have other questions.

Ha! I'm glad it wasn't only me, started to believe my order got lost or something
Oh goddamned it! How do I update the Vita during setup!? I won't let me.

I just ordered a Vita on amazon but I've got one probably very stupid question, are all the retail games available for download on PSN?
Yes, all retail games are available on PSN

When I called my Best Buy last night they said it was preorder only, and if I didn't preorder I couldn't get one until "the 26th." Target's website says the FEB isn't sold in stores. I might run over to Wal Mart on my lunch break since I don't have anything else to do and see what's crackin'. Maybe I'll get lucky. Not sure. The FEB might be available off the shelf in a few stores but I think it is mostly a preorder item. I'm curious to see the availability myself.

Yep! All retail games on PSN are discounted too, around 10%

I definitely appreciate the lo-fi, black and white look but how does the game measure up on the Vita screen? Native res and solid 30fps?
Physical games load slightly faster, however. Uncharted gains a good 4-5 seconds when played from the retail card as opposed to the download version.Good thing I canceled my order of the physical games.

Thanx as long as it's fun and enjoyable, I'm fine with it.I don't want to get all Figboy where people think I'm a viral marketer, but Escape Plan is a slick package. Each level spans anywhere from 10 seconds up to 45 seconds so far. You can earn up to 3 stars depending on how many "gestures" you use and how quickly you complete a stage. All gameplay is touchscreen, with the exception of zooming in and out using the analog sticks. When you 2-star a level, you will want to replay it to get that third star.
Regarding length, it's hard to tell how much depth there is. There are a total of 234 stars to earn and I have 35 already. Levels are broken up into sections. The first section had 10 levels, the second had 9. Six other sections are locked behind Polaroid pictures with lock symbols on them.
The DLC potential here is endless. If the puzzles remain interesting and hilarious like they have been, I could easily throw down an extra 10 bucks for new content.
Let me know if you have other questions.
THIS IS FALSE.
On the Vita store right now, only Sony, Ubisoft, and Aksys games are discounted.
EA, Capcom, and Codemasters are full price.
So this means that the discount is optional and up to the publisher.
Sony and Ubisoft games are 10%.
BlazBlue (from Aksys) is $5.
Is there anyway to check the prices on PSN (U.S.) from something other than a PS3 or Vita? I'd like to see what Tactics Ogre would cost me (own the UMD but that obviously isn't doing me any good if I pick up a Vita).
I hope EA, Capcom and Codemasters burn in hell for that. Terrible, terrible decision for the future. Digital discount bye bye we go.
If you're trying to use an existing PSN account, then don't.
Say you don't want to and it'll create a "guest account". When the set up is done, go do the firmware update, and then just log in with your PSN account.
This question is going to be asked so much in the next 2 weeks.
Too bad Sony didn't ship the western Vitas with the new firmware already installed.

Maybe it will be fixed like Uncharted was, but I doubt it.
Sony should just pay publishers the same as they'd get selling at retail. The rest gets donated to gamestop. Then perhaps EA etc would charge more reasonable prices. At the moment its free money, why would they choose not to take it?
How much did all of that cost you
All this negative news is starting to piss me off. Not even 14k sales this week in Japan. Come on Sony, do something! It's the best handheld ever released for crying out loud!
I called Future Shop (Canada) and the guy told me to just come in and buy it. I asked him, if he's sure, he said Yes. Best Buy guy gave me a detailed explanation of why I cannot do that - "It's just for preorders, even if you order it online (I told him they have 1 available for online order) with the in-store pickup, it just won't work, it won't ring until 22.Feb" he said. So who knows, I have a feeling the guy at FS is mistaken but I'll give it a trySo can you like, go buy a Vita in a store today?
Just wait on the Monster Hunter reveal and watch the magic happen. When the games start coming out, the sales will come. Believe.
I think someone asked a few pages ago if the following was possible:
That's too bad, I hope they do a firmware update for this. After all, they're connecting to the same service and the friends are the same.
