Common sense would dictate that EDGE would know the likely release period in Europe and not in North America because they are, you know, a European magazine.
Taste the happy Michael!
I really want to get into the series, but I don't have anyone to play locally with, so unless they add online or some sort of tunneling service via Wii(U), I won't buy it.

Internet?
Will not buy without internet.
Anyone who's constantly priaising Nintendo of Europe for being the best version of Nintendo really hasn't used Nintendo consoles for a long time or is not from Europe.
NoE had constant delays on games such as Brawl, flat out not releasing a giant amount of games from the NES-Current era and other than Xenoblade and The Last Story I can't really look at them as a good company in the slightest.
Sorry, I have real friends with real 3DS's who actually like monhun.

Why are people in this thread talking as if Capcom's American branch was taken over by NOA overnight?

You can play co-op with a 3DS that isn't real, to a 3DS that is real?
You are correct.Pretty sure Tri was published by Nintendo in Europe.

I think some other Nintendo magazine also had it listed for Q3 in EU, but no words from Capcom yet?
No...?
MH is a Capcom game...

It has sold more than 100,000 copies in 2011 being a 2010 game.
Nintendo has mainline Monster Hunter entries on their platforms, like Dragon Quest. One of the reasons they have main DQ games is because Nintendo assists in localization for the games. It's not too far fetched to imagine Nintendo is doing the same with Monster Hunter, in hopes of making it popular out of Japan while keeping an incentive to keep it on their platforms.
Well, I don't doubt that at all. But judging from the complaints in this thread, it makes it look like NoA is actively preventing Capcom from getting the game out here, which makes no sense whatsoever.
Does TBA NA mean it's coming, but no date yet? Or that the game has yet to be announced for NA?
I'm not going to get too excited until Capcom says something officially. European magazines have been talking about this "rumor" for months now if I recall.
Actually - someone mentioned some time ago something along the lines of Capcom should plan to release a budget version of the game in Japan near the back end of this year for 3G to run into and run up MH4 hype (maybe even a small demo included)
That would certainly make a double dip on the game -absolutely- possible and as long as you can use the same save data then i think gamers would be happy too (say, 3200 yen tops?)
p.s. i'm going to take down the pants and spank the arse of everyone who cheerled the Japanese sales of this game who doesn't buy the US / EU release. Game is screaming hot, ignoring it would be shameful. I don't care if you tried it and didn't like it - you're wrong, try it again.

I almost wanted to import P3rd until I realized they scaled the HUD up and it just looked terrible.

I place an obscene amount of importance on HUDs. Which is why 3G is going to be so good!
you will be disappointed.I'll buy it if it has online. Which I believe it will.
