Here's a wallpaper which I made during the airing of Mawaru PenguinDrum which I change the size for Vita. People who watch it will know what it is!

Ok boys and girls I have begun to create a few myself. I have some great ideas for ones but here are a few of mine for the time being hope you like them.

PS if anyone knows how to get Picasa images links to show at a smaller size let me know please will make things easier going forward (Knight images shows bigger on here but its the right size on vita!)

P.P.S. If anyone can add or send me a template for the VITA homescreen so we can place images inside the template without having them get cutoff on the system etc that would be a HUGE Plus!

Is anybody else having their background image conjure artifacts out of nowhere when it's set as a wallpaper? I say out of nowhere because I look at the pictures in the Photo app and they're fine, but when I set them as a wallpaper then it looks kinda grimy.

If you mean that they look fuzzy inside the photo folders yes. It takes about 1-2 seconds for my images to pop sharpness. However when I set one as my Lock screen no it looks sharp with zero artifacts.

Also did you format your memory card as well or just inserted it? I had a few weird things happen when I just inserted it and played around. After formatting it everything works as its supposed to.

No, I mean when you set it as a wallpaper in the actual UI with all the apps on it and stuff. It's like you said where it has no such blemishes when I use the Photo app to browse the pictures and they're all pristine, but then I set it as my wallpaper and then there's problems.

I didn't get my memory card formatted, just popped it in before powering on the system for the first time. Hmm...

It appears that I am. I'm using the Wipeout concept art wallpapers I posted on the first page, and when they're displayed on the start screen I'm seeing some nasty artifacts, like you do when an image is badly compressed.

Haven't formatted my card...but I just downloaded a ton of stuff so I'll hold off on that.

Awesome Wallpapers Everyone!
I've been searching for awhile and all the others I was getting just kept looking like junk on the vita because of the artifacts.

Just a bunch of random ones I made for myself earlier. Thought I'd throw them on here though.

Still haven't tested them out yet, so can't say if they're perfect as far as icons go. Can redo some if there's any requests.

go to your photo library and click on a photo and there should be an option to set to lockscreen
thanks very much..i should also mention the 3pg Gravity Daze wall a few pages back wouldnt work for me when trying to save image directly to the Vita. No prob as ill dl it when i get back on my Desktop, but thought it would be worth mentioning for future wallpapers. could be an unsupported link/filetype or something

I have an odd little request.

I would very much like to create my own wallpaper but i was wondering if someone could provide a pic that one could use as a guideline for creating a wallpaper.

You know like a picture of a bare bones vita wallpaper that indicates where the icons would be placed if it was used.

You have my thanks to anyone who can provide this. :D

You mean that when you view the image on photo app it looks crisp/sharp, but when you actually set it to a wallpaper, the quality drops, right?

that happens and apparently it happens to almost everyone. I hope Sony fix this soon.

I think I prefer the ones with no circles as the bloody bubbles move around. Maybe just a dot in the centre of each one to show where to put icons.

Going to have a play with one now.

This is happening to me on pretty much every single background. So bad that I just simply stopped using them.

I don't know if this is already well known, but unlike the PS3 you can use transparent .png files as wallpapers and see the standard "wavy lines" behind. Aliasing is a bit of a problem, but it could be cool.

"Proof of concept" image:

Just a basic template over a yellow background (it still does the fade between colours from previous screens too)

This is actually the type of wallpaper Id prefer. Maybe not the color but something nice but simple with the circles to place bubbles and enough of them so that I can fill the entire screen.
I hate wasting screen space.
