well we are approaching our 4th and final season of madden '12. bout to get to the playoffs in season 3 and we have enough people returning to have a mostly full season 4. if you're interested in a team OTHER than the bills the possibilities are: chiefs, lions and browns. check out the thread in the community section if interested!

Sucks, but I can't play as any other team. Maybe next year

Kalil ran 4.99 and did 30 reps. I will have no problem if they take him #2. I think it's looking likely he and Griffin will go 2-3 in some order. As much as MIN and STL need playmakers, there's just no one in the draft who merits a top 5 selection

i didn't realize blackmon was like 6'1. he's basically crabtree pt. 2

Did you see his broad jump. Good lord it was nuts.

Yeah in the NFL now, passes to the end zone are increasingly caught by leaping WRs or TEs, especially with the rules against hitting a guy who is defenseless. It makes it even more imperative for the guy to be tall and can jump.

I just don't think Blackmon is going to be an elite WR. Lots of FAs and guys available in the back half of the first round.

There's this resistance amongst fans and journos in STL to taking him b/c they have already wasted so much money on bad FAs and draft choices on the OL. But it's one of those things where you keep going until it gets fixed. I really don't know what more they need to see. They had 3 QBs get knocked out for the year behind that disaster

Thanks, LJ. The more I see from this Tight end class, the less I see the Giants using that last pick in the first round on one.

Allen vs Fleener, if you want a real TE anyway. I like Allen, dude is smooth, can run block, uses his frame well, good hands. Played split, on the line, in the backfield as an H-Back. He's shown versatility. Well spoken too. Watched a lot of Clemson this year.

Mayock: "There is a reason he is being used as the example in every drill"

He's awesome, I'd take him in the top 10. There's no premier rusher, no killer DT, I like K.Wright and Blackmon but they should go in the teens, why not take the best G? Or the best C? Konz is a plow.

Bubububu value! That's why these good interior lineman fall, teams chasing value.

Allen Would the most acceptable to me thanks to the fact that he can block. Reese just had his media conference and was quoted as saying the Giants have won the Super Bwol with "good" TE's and a great TE isn't necessary for success. Now either that tells me that he's more inclined to look for a value TE in the later rounds (or fill holes in FA) or he's playing down the need. Not something Reese does, though. There's just so many possibilities on the OL front, I can't see TE at 32. Not with how poorly the Giants OL performed in 2011.

I'm seriously falling for Cordy Glenn at the moment.

The Giants dobn't seem like a team that would take a need piece when they can get the BPA.

Doubt he'll last that long.

Yeah, I don't see them taking a TE unless he's the best player.

They haven't chosen OL or a LB in the first two rounds in a quite a while, may be the year.

I don't have NFLN, but do they not do all the drills in one day for their position group? Everything I see from Kalil makes me really like him for STL. I have no idea on how to really judge his ability to anchor or potentially anchor, but in a division with Aldon Smith, you need a guy who can handle speed on the edge

Think most of the OL are done, tons of numbers for them.

No one got close to Solder's 4.34 20 shuttle, but Solder struggled against speed rushers from what I saw last year.

I thought the thing with Solder was that he was very raw? Obviously it's not just the numbers. And as a regular fan I really have idea on how polished an OL is with his technique. All the hand fighting and getting that first punch are just not visible from television brodcast

I still want the Rams to trade back, but I've seen a few people who have Kalil as the second best prospect in the draft, and I can live with them staying at #2 to get him. The Rams and Browns are natural trading partners, but who will emerged as the guy after the top 3? b/c the Vikes aren't going to pass on Kalil

Yeah, but Solder had elite feet/range, still had issues. Everyone was concerned about his strength. Tyron Smith was supposed to struggle against power and he handled everyone. I'm sure Kalil will do fine wherever he goes. Guy has all the tools, up to him and coaches.

It's easier to observe a LT on TV, but you never really focus on the line unless they're getting destroyed.

Wasn't he on a limited snap count? ..i.e. a situational pass rusher anyway? 12 million for a 34 year old situational player? :jnc

You assholes are making me want to drop money on a Vita but I already have a ton of games to play :/.

Don't do it.

Wait for....

1. Inevitable PSP Vita 2000
2. $20 games and/or PSN store sales
3. Seeing whether or not the Vita is even a viable purchase

I wouldn't even know what to do with a Vita with the size of my backlog. I just picked up Tales of the Abyss 3DS and I'm playing through Kingdoms of Amalur on PS3.

And then there's my steam backlog....

How's that any different from the 3DS though? The 3DS is ugly, just like all og Nintendo handhelds and will get a refresh in a year. Plus there's never any good games for theirs for the first year or two either.
Nerds on gaming message boards (including myself and everyone else basically) don't know the meaning of waiting.

I know I'm going to be tempted once FIFA/NHL/Madden/NBA 2K are out for it.

oh, and I can play The Show in bed when I'm having trouble falling asleep.

I've read that Fifa is really good on the PSP plus with the dual analog sticks Madden should be fun too. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna end up with a Vita sooner or later.

Is there anybody here btw who plays Fifa on the 360?

Edit: Not doing anything on Saterday is boring as fuuuuuuuccckk.

It's not, more that I just already invested in a 3DS :p I figured after the DS dominating that the 3DS would do more of the same. Although the initial model for that was absolutely horrible.

I'm more or less waiting for a Vita revision because I can't afford one atm :p So clearly, I'm the purveyor of unbiased and logical advice!

Being that tall didn't help against rush guys. He got beat bad early in the season when they stepped outside and then crossed over inside. He's athletic, but it's hard to get on a quick guy that's 6 inches shorter than you.

if i was short on cash to afford vita i would sell my 3ds for it. fortunately i can keep both but even with just the launch software the psv has more compelling games than the 3ds. most PSP games look as good as 3ds games so if you never had a psp then there is a gigantic library of really good games (especially RPG's). i had a psp but never picked up games like tactics ogre and ys so they are like new games to me. and they look awesome on the psv screen!

as for gaming backlogs, we all have that.... and it never seems to go away :(
