Yeah, not at all sad, I mean I am not anti immigration but those are not UK residents left to starve, they are illegals therefore cannot claim any housing benefits or jobseekers or get work. Also it's a reflection of their community's that are not helping them more than anything, as one of them even states.

On a basic humanist level, I find the story sad. I hope the officials can do more to speed up the deportation back to India that they desire.

On a looking-after-my-society level... eh. Their fault.

On a bloodthirsty level, I'd love those human traffickers that took their money to bring them here to be hunted down.

This sums it up. How about satisfying all three points by giving the illegal immigrants full citizenship if they testify against their traffickers and a guilty verdict is given?

And put further strain on our system? No thanks. Besides, they want to go home. Your proposed system is simply "broke the law? Rewards if you blame someone else!"

A cash payment as bounty against the traffickers would be a lot more useful to them once they get deported, and in the long-run cheaper for us to.

When keepin it real goes wrong. Very, very wrong.
I could sure do with a black pudding supper right now! Or a weatherspoons cheese burger.

I am bloody starving, forgot to lift my metro card for work and I have no cash In my wallet = 8 hours of starvation. Got a few Greggs sausage rolls in my fridge at home il be sure to have them when my shift is finished.

Can't believe Im hungry when i stay In a fucking first world country.. The horror.

I had the opposite thing once, was convinced on three separate days during a week that it was Wednesday when it wasn't. That was a confusing time for me.

Vied for a tag related to cocks, so here it is.
I woke up on Saturday with a hangover thinking it was Friday morning because my alarm had gone off.

That was a moment of pure joy, realising I just forgot to turn it off the night before and falling back to sleep.

Nothing ruins your Friday quite like getting to work and realising it's only Wednesday.

Fuck!

LOL

My heart bleeds.

So does mine, fuck if a ghetto sprung up in my area.

i woke up today feeling refreshed because i had an early night last night (from midnight till half 9 this morning)

Feeling pretty good knowing me and my friends have a nightout planned up the toon this friend!

It feels like a Monday because I'm just off a four day weekend.

Decent stuff I guess.

tesco chicken & bacon sandwiches are fantastic. that is all.

I loved that shit. But motherfuckers always had raided the Irn-Bru in my local Tesco so I couldn't get the £1.50 (or whatever) meal deal.

My favourite supermarket food memory is when back in 2006 I sustained mainly on the "freshly made" sausage rolls and other pies from the Anniesland Morrisons. I say "freshly made" because I went in at 21:30 every night so I got them at reduced to clear prices.

SMH @ your peasant food! Pret Club sammich all day SON

On another note, in the first few weeks of Jan Morrisons did 6 thighs for £2, then I went there this Monday then they dropped it back down to 5 thighs- as it was last year. I went there today now they dropped it to 3 thighs..WTF?!

Yeah, I'm gonna chime in with the Wetherspoons love. Sometimes you just want a no frills pint and a quick burger. 'Spoons will sort you out with change from a £7 note.

Reppin' Sainsbury's meal deals at £3. I can now get a Breakfast Triple sandwich, Monster Munch and Cherry Coca Cola. Yeah, Boots stuff is miles better (Chicken Triple, Banana+Strawberry Smoothie, Steak+Ale flav crisps), but that's £3.79 so I only get it once a week. Not tried M&S.

And Wetherspoons is awesome. My local is basically just outside work in Hammersmith, and it's just nice and reliable. Ale selection isn't very special (Festival starts in a couple of weeks, though!) but I do like a good beer n' burger.

Well, the supposed legal basis behind this is crap. There's no such thing as a 'court de facto', the court derives its power from the Law and the Crown and (in the UK at least) this has nothing whatsoever to do with the will or consent of the people. And standing up has no legal effect, neither does not standing up.

And the common law doesn't supersede statute law, it is the other way round.

I wouldn't suggest anyone try this. Not unless they want to get banged up for contempt. Besides, it is exceedingly impolite and buggers up the rest of the court's business.

That is a term they apply. As opposed to 'de jure'. Court de jure.

In that video though the police come and stand down. You watched the video right?

They don't get banged up. That's the thing.

Edit: actually it is complete crap. I shouldn't take things at face value.

Figured I'd share my good news with UK GAF, since I'm all alone in the house right now and have no one to shout at, but I've just been accepted back to university!

I'll be moving to London to study a Masters at SOAS in September. Delighted doesn't even go half way to describing how I feel right now! The weight this has taken off my shoulders is indescribable.

I have a lump in my throat now. It's actually happening. :D

Congratulations man! I'm still waiting to hear if I get in to any of my choices. Fuck UCAS. I hate UCAS. University too.

I don't think UCAS have finished making all their offers yet (I got my undergrad offer in March, but that was 5 years ago, so it may have changed at this point). I didn't go through them since I'd applied for a postgraduate this time. That has to be done straight through the university.

Still, all the best. I hope you get to do what you want, at your institution of choice! :)

YES! UK-GAF back onto food!

Waitrose is the clear winner for lunch, though Sainsbury's give them a good run. I do love a pub lunch on Friday though.

1% confirmed ;)

I love me some Roast Beef and Horseradish from M&S, with some crinkle cut crisps and a smoothie.

Pret is good too.

I second the vegetable crisps! So good. I've convinced myself that the salt and oil seal in the goodness. Look at this fella:

ITT people love microwaved burgers from spoons

my favourite lunch is this deli near me called Tarts & Tid Bits. Get a massive sandwich with shitloads of meat for £2.40. Can't say fairer than that. Subway is good too.
