Probably just use all the fan tweaks, fixes, unfinished business type stuff and the high res support/text mods, just a little more presentable and user friendly. Can't imagine it being a remake with the amount of content that'd need. If it happens to be added to my Steam I'll replace my playthroughs to these versions (I'm sure they won't stop at BGI but also do the rest IE games) there's not much value in paying for such things after triple dipping on some games with how readily available they became thanks to DD in recent times, this might have been exciting some years ago before gog... And they might ruin parts if they design new GUI stuff and potentially other elements with the graphical quality of that announcement comic (yes, I know it's meant to be light hearted, but eh, that's misguided itself) or if they decide to use a newer version of DnD or whatever else they come up with to justify it.

Not really, imagine that game you loved back then. Now it has cooler graphics and half of it it's now offered as DLC.

That's my guess, yeah. Wouldn't be surprised if it's Tutu-ified as well, as in, the entire BG saga as a single game using the most up to date/functional version of the infinity engine.

Considering that all this old race of D&D RPGs by Black Isle and Interplay is compatible with all modern PCs and that all games have appeared on almost all digital distribution platforms during the past 2.5 years, I fail to see why an "Enhanced Edition" is even needed or what will it offer.
