Oh, and I missed this before, so maybe you did:
#2751: a developer in Santa Monica has been showing off the Wii U version of their game to certain journalists in the area this week.
People yelled at me last thread, insisting that I have to. So I've already written up the first post information (needs a little organization) and am mostly done designing the images needed for proper presentation. Aargh, you can't imagine how annoying it is to reproduce magazine logos and classic gaming text by sight. Anyway it's big.
There are a couple people who really wanted to do it, too. I'm really happy that the thread exploded with rage earlier today, because it means that the chances of a Seventh thread before E3 increase. I will otherwise try to think of a way to be a good neighbor to them.

What program are you using, GameplayWhore? I've been using Adobe Creative Suite 6 (Photoshop and Indesign mostly) for my E3 thread, works great. And you really need to reproduce those things by sight, you can't scan material?

I'm making a General Information & FAQ thread. I have it reserved in the |OT| |OT| Volunteer, coordinate, (index), create thread, and I expect to post it around the 27th of May.
If you by 8-bit text mean something close to what you normally see in games for NES or Sega Master System, you have the typefaces Fixedsys, Small Fonts and Terminal readily available under Windows 7. For Mac OS X I don't really know if any fonts like what is described are bundled but there are a few Chinese bitmap fonts.
Well the PC versions of CoD games typically look a bit better than the console versions, so there's certainly hope for the WiiU version looking better as well.

There's a font called "Press Start" which I found matches up pretty nicely with what I needed.

they've also indicated that this one will take more advantage of PC hardware so...I don't know. I'll never put in hope but it would be a great surprise to have the wiiU version to be the noticeably superior COD console version.
I'd be surprised to see the feature happen on CC and not happen on the padlet.
On the other hand, the presence of clicky sticks on the padlet would all but confirm a new iteration of the Classic Controller.

Yeah. Seems to be the same thing as before, except that you have the option of grouping the docks and images into a single window with a tabbed interface. I heard there are other big improvements, but they're not very noticeable to me.

I never replay games and usually don't 100% things but I seem to have a compulsion that makes me want to finish a game (see the credits) before I move onto the next thing. I've finished probably 95% of the games I started this gen.
I still keep buying games too though. They just sit unopened in my backlog until the time is right.

Increasing the resolution would take little-to-no money or effort. It probably just comes down to whether or not Wii U can handle it.
Then again, I could see Microsoft pushing against it...

It's okay, I mailed out a slew of Gaf Loyalty NFC figurines to everybody here. You just have to hold it up to your screen when you click Submit Reply in order to post a message. That way, the trolls can't get to us.
Judging from my notes, this is probably the fastest a WUST has gotten to one thousand posts in a day, by a small margin. We should get IdeaMan to piss people off more often.
