According to the patents the sync button is still on the underbelly of the controller.Couldn't that little square just be the sync button like the 360 controller has?

Updated the OP with some info from our French Leaker IdeaMan.
I hear on the grape vine the guy who leaked the picture is now fired and may well be taken to court. A good lesson in breaking NDA's, don't do it. It can cost you your job, money and ruins things for everyone else. I doubt he'll ever get to work in the industry again.
For those of you who worked under NDA's, how many pages are they usually in length? I imagine they have to be pretty fucking crushing if you breach confidentiality. Are there any known past cases of someone breaking NDA and what happened to them?
Nintendo's ones are tiny.

Eh, not to join in on the IdeaMan bashing but most of those points read like the speculation here since the controller pic leaked - the "NFC sticker" and "TV/pad switch" particularly. If I was being cruel, I'd say it read more like a summary of what has been said here rejigged and gussied up to make it sound more like an "inside scoop".
But that would be cruel.
That's too bad what happened, but he had it coming. I wonder if he is looking back in retrospect, thinking if leaking this, something we were going to find out about in two weeks, was really worth risking his job over. Just goes to prove how strict NDA is.
Hmm, I'm actually more inclined to believe him now
Who IdeaMan? So you're a developer who has been doubting idea man?
Edit: New info from IdeaMan was disappointing at worst. Way to hype a lackluster tidbit.
Yeah, I've had my fill. That art style - after TWW, FS, FSA, TMC, PH, and ST - is a little played out.

Aha! He was a QA Tester. I don't think TT Fusion (or the main TT Games) are going to go astray from this loss.

I hope there is still time for Nintendo to add their usual octagon around the analog stick.

Christ, I hope not. That shit really should have died with the Gamecube.
I would agree to that only if you agree that round gates should have also died.Christ, I hope not. That shit really should have died with the Gamecube.
Geoff Keighley said:Nintendo's E3 Press conference will air exclusively on Spike TV and MTV2 on Tuesday, June 5. Tons more E3 news soon!
And their website too, although the press release today made no mention of the "Nintendo Network." I kinda like the name, pretty catchy, but maybe Nintendo doesn't want anybody confusing it with whatever they'll call the Wii U's online.

My mind is still blown at the Nintendo conference being live on Spike. AND that they're promoting it!!!

The poor git is from burnley, he probably didn't even know what an nda was let alone that he was breaking it
Is that like being some blockheaded Bracegirdle from Hardbottle?

Something like that, I grew up a couple of towns over from burnley, they were who we took this piss out of all the time

I didn't know people actually liked that. :/
I said it in the speculation thread and I will say it here, too...
I'm probably the only man here mourning the loss of slide pads.
But if it appeases those of you allergic to change, so be it, I suppose.
Can't say I dislike the rest of the changes made to it, though.

Which is one reason why I havent truly loved a Zelda since LttP
