I never said there was a wide confusion. I said I can see a good number of people being confused based on what Jimmy did as well as other similar examples in the past (some of which I've seen first hand) if Nintendo doesn't changes things (as I've said previously).
I swear it's like you guys don't even read and start arguments just for the sake of doing so. Don't see what's so hard to understand.
I agree with ya and I'm not sure why Skies is taking such a strong stance. However, I don't think Jimmy announcing to his viewers that it's an add-on is what the problem truly is. Most who were at all interested probably checked out the segment and understood the correction.
The problem is that a "regular guy" like Jimmy and a "regular outlet" like CNN
are confused in the first place. So if these professional media outlets are getting mixed up, it stands to reason other non-gamers would as well. That's where the problem lies. If non-gaming media is making that mistake, why wouldn't other consumers also make that mistake once they hear about Wii U?
It's probably a good thing that the GamePad won't be sold separately, at least at first. If the Wii gets sold for around the same price as the U's gamepad, it will only muddy the water further. That way if someone for some reason does buy a Wii U thinking it's only a very expensive controller, no harm no foul 'cause all they have to do is hook the new console up and all their Wii stuff is compatible.
