Fuck I missed the J10 drama :(

It's weird, I was just about to ask him to play. OH WELL.

Have any of you ever wondered what 343 is going to do after Halo 6? It seems the studio is really focused on a trilogy and I always hear people saying "Defining the next 10 years" and "telling this story". Does the game division disband, create new game experiences/characters, or focus more on the expanded fiction and merchandise? What becomes of Halo as an IP? Hopefully the new trilogy introduces enough interesting stuff to allow the universe to carry on in new directions and with new characters.

As much as it isn't the focus of the studio it has to be something that 343 continually wonders themselves.

10 years is a long time, by then Halo will have been "active" for 21 straight years. It's tough to think of any franchise that's stayed fresh and relevant for that long. Even Batman, Spiderman, Star Wars have had lulls.

I expect that in ten years it will be time to give Halo a bit of a hiatus, give it 5-10 years of nothing and then BAM! HALO 7 RETURN OF THE CHIEF! That would give them a totally new lease of life and a fresh audience (like Nolan's Batman films have done after Shumacher ruined the franchise).

Wow, Juices is pretty bad.

More importantly though, you have a sweet WRX?! I never hated you but I now like you much more than before and will forget your past posts that I didn't like. I'm on my 2nd WRX. First was an 02, now have an 06 wagon. Love 'em. How's the VF39 setup going?

VF39 is fun. I'm over 300whp after that tune even though it had a busted inlet, gunked up plugs, and a bad front 02 while on the dyno (had to tune at that moment because I swapped in larger injectors)

My biggest issue isn't so much turbo size, it's the gutless 2.0 liter block. I want to swap a 2.5 liter short onto the 2.0l long and do a proper hybrid setup, with built pistons, race bearings, etc, then maybe conservatively put an HTA68 on there. Of course I also want to swap in a non-DCCD v7 6-speed in too. I could move towards those goals if I didn't keep having huge parts failures over and over. Older car + a lot more hp and heat than it was designed to handle = dear lord things are breaking. My car is in the shop again as we speak because the ECU melted. Ridiculous.

After the built short block I might just say eff the HTA and go with the end goal though - an S256 rotated setup ( Bren just tuned one - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVSidl9mOKs )

400+whp on pump gas with full spool possible at 3500rpm. Booya.

I was too lazy too, but since I've started it has become strangely addicting.

That visor is going to be a bitch.

This is Chinese to me.

Good, stay away from cars and motorcycles as a hobby. It will lead to a much more affluent and enjoyable lifestyle. My two imported Japanese children suck my wallet dry at every opportunity.

Nah, man. Time spent enjoying something is not wasted time. Go nuts on those cars.

Silly kids and your foreign car builds - I used to run a 94 Camaro rocked 475 rear wheel HP... ran an 11.98 on street tires before getting kicked off Baytown Motor Speedway for not having a cage :(. Poor guy had T-Tops that couldn't be removed due to torque twisting the center bar lol.

Before that ran a '40 Ford 2 door sedan that was more a street rod than anything else, but it would embarrass a number of tricked out modern rides.

Really used to love tinkering with fast cars - bikes not so much.

Burning pistons out is so much fun though. (not really)

although I have to admit, I never melted the ECU; although my friend did bust my ecu by crossing the wires on the battery.

I don't have enough money to do this stuff to my car anymore :(

American muscle is a lot of fun. Superchargers rather than turbos. Hell dollar for dollar, it's damn near impossible to beat the current Mustang. The GT500 trim is what, ~650 torque, 650+ hp? For $60k or so? Absurd. I've always had Japanese car lust though, probably a result of playing rally video games and lots of Gran Turismo growing up.

I can't launch the car at all with the current 5-speed, the thing is a glass tranny. One day I'll have that anti-lag + launch control + 6-speed setup, and I will laugh the night away http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7B_lYa5fO4

In Subarus it's spun bearings that are the real fun. Especially with the 2.0l oil pan. Oh you took that corner a little too sharply? Lol, heres your oil starvation, have fun! Better safe than sorry, so pick up the Killer B oil pan, oil pickup, etc, etc whoops there goes another $1000. It never stops.

Nice man. Sounds like a lot of fun, but also a pain heh. What EM are you using? I imagine you are on NASIOC, maybe I'll have to go check your stuff out there.

I haven't done anything to my current car really. Rotas and tires, and recently did steel lines, pads, and fluid which is pretty nice on the 06's bigger brakes. My 02 had COBB DP with AP on Stage 2 map, pads and lines, struts and springs, the Rotas I have now, COBB shifter. Not much but I had fun. I wanted to do what you've done and stop there, then go do some track (not straights). I'm in a place financially to be able to do this stuff now, but haven't.

The 2.5L block is quite a difference. I really like it. It'd be a nice improvement for your setup for sure. Maybe you should get an STI and start over. ;)

Anyway, sounds like you have some fun plans in the works. :)

After blowing up my engine once, then spinning a rod bearing because I put it back together wrong; I've lost all interest in trying to pump out as much power from this engine that I can (although the 3sgte can make some pretty impressive numbers with a standalone)

I'm a lot more interested in going around corners fast now. Struts/springs, brakes, new tires, etc; makes for a much more enjoyable ride. I kinda wish I hadn't clipped my turbine when I upgraded my turbo with a larger compressor wheel, since its basically only for top-end and slower spool.

Wow u guise is just like J10 said, u ignore wat peepl say and r rude

I'm leaving

Was just playing H3 last night. With MLG settings, the game is much more fun to play than Reach imo. With a wider FOV and better netcode, H3 would trump Reach handily.

You too?! Nice. WRX?

I'm of the same mentality. I'd like to do some minor upgrades, just enough to improve it over stick performance then hit the curves. LOTS of winding mountainous roads here in Utah.

Nah I have an MR2 Turbo. Mid-engine is best ;)

I use open-source engine management. You should get an OS tune from somebody reputable for your 06. Your car will run better and you'll get a lot more power out of it than a base Cobb map. Plus I've always found dynoing to be incredibly enjoyable if you're a car guy; last time I dropped by the dyno, a large part of the local Subie community was hanging out with lawn chairs and drinking while a buddy was trying to break 420whp for the first time.

Get an OS tune before swapping in a bigger turbo to see how you like it. The TD04 is hilariously fun with a new map on it for city driving. I think I was hitting full boost at like, 2700rpm with mine. With a 2.5l block and that type of spool, you'd be able to rip the car around town (and it's perfect for autocross).

As for getting an STi and starting over? Yeup. Pretty much. I'm just too emotionally attached and have too much into this car to let it go.

Nah I have an MR2 Turbo.

I know someone who just swapped a giant Garrett turbo into his MR2. The thing is ridiculous.

Yea, I've seen guys on the MR2 forums swap all sorts of ridiculously massive turbochargers into their cars. Going with anything like that basically means you have to have a standalone/fuel-system overhaul.

I stopped at alcohol injection and 20psi... and still blew up my motor. Whoops! Now my JDM engine just runs 10psi all the time, heh; well it will once I get some new ignition parts.

Also, Halo; and a new Warhammer 40k rulebook comes out on the 30th ;)

Is that really your reason? I would have liked to play you in Halo 3 during my prime. Now I am just a shell of my former self, and started playing Halo again for this tournament. If Halo 4 is good I will crush everyone in Halogaf.

Lol no. I'm not that big of a douche. I just haven't been able to play much and don't feel I can commit to a tournament at this time. I entered the GAF Starcraft 2 tournament and had to drop out because I just couldn't find the time. I would totally love to shit on everyone here lol. Also, I'm not the guy who wants to beat up all the good kids from HaloGAF, I would rather play with them and beat up scrubs in MM.

understandable. If I start doing a DMR practice this tournament is going to be easy. Never tried to get good at this game. Anyway it would be cool to play with you and everyone else at Halogaf sometime. Since I am new here nobody want to play with me lol.

Bloom is terrible, I always end up shooting my gun too fast (innuendo)

ZB with increased movement speed is the best Reach.

I am actually confused on what the TU actually did. thought it was suppose to get rid of bloom. I was always under the impression it did that, but guess not.

It reduced the bloom, but didn't get rid of it.

I still feel like bloom causes me to miss a lot of my 5th shots, since by that time I've been firing too fast and my reticule is bloomed out. And when I pause to try and let it reset, I end up getting killed because I'm close to shields down.

TU gametypes are 85%. The only playlist that has zero bloom is MLG and every once in a full moon zero bloom shows up in Super Slayer.
