I don't think it uses gamebryo but what you're probably referring to is what PC people call jank. Most PC or PC oriented games have a little jank usually because they have so many complex systems in place. Euro PC developers are especially guilty of it because they usually don't have the budget to have top notch animation or engines, though that's probably not the case here since Zenimax is backing this.
Okay, thanks.No, it's using a modified UE3.
Edit:
It certainly will. Also, I hope the PC version looks a lot better. Not really counting on it though.
So this isn't open world right? Just a series of mission environments.
Stealth and combat both look ridiculously easy. I hope the game is still challenging on higher difficulties, but I am certainly not expecting it after seeing some of the abilities.
Keep in mind that the demo was played on Normal. Stealth gets much more difficult on Hard and Very Hard. It can be pretty punishing.
The abilities were also maxed in that walkthrough. In the game, you won't be able to select them all in one playthrough. Additionally, there are two power levels per ability; for instance, the radius of Blink is shorter at its initial level. You'll have to choose to spend a point to upgrade.
The game is going for a certain art style. That is why the graphics look the way they do. I can pretty much guarantee that I'm going to get some amazing shots out of the PC version.
It certainly will.

An it's impossible to have all abilities rigth? You have to choose between them?
What are you basing this on, exactly?
Don't get me wrong. It certainly could and I have not really followed the game close enough to know about any special plans for the PC version. At the end of the day there have been too many multiplatform games with next to no effort put into exhausting the power of medium to high level rigs for me to really count on it, though.
That's the least important thing in these types of games.
LOL, there is alwas THIS guy! It's almost ironic.
"Looks shit for an RPG"
" It's about Roleplaying! That's the least important thing in these types of games."
"Looks shit for a racer man..."

Please, DO unterstand one thing:
In a visual medium like videogames, the visual quality ALWAYS matters. If it does look great because of artstyle or because of a marvelous technical achievement - I DO not care. But it needs to be pleasing to my eyes, so that I can like it 100%. If it doesn't look good, I will not enjoy it as much as when it would actually look good.
Same is true for women, btw. (and yeah for man for gay-gaf).
Also, Betheshda this gen showed several times, that they aren't very capable of a) making a game with good graphics and b) making a game with good gameplay. Why should this change now? I don't know. But I hope so, because the general setup looks interesting.

Well first of all because Bethesda isn't making this game. A studio that Zenimax owns is making it and they are much more capable from a gameplay standpoint than Bethesda is. Just watch the damn video in the OP and you can easily see that.
And I said the graphics are the least important in this genre because it is. It will live or die on its level design like the rest of them. Can you name me a Deus Ex-style game that had great graphics for its time? It shouldn't be hard to find them all, there's not many sadly.
I hate this fucking bullshit argument. So you can't enjoy SMB today?

Deus Ex looked dated back when it came out and is considered by many as the best game of all time.
Yup it's my favorite game ever and I'll be the first to tell anyone here it looked like shit even back when it came out.
I don't know how the first Deus Ex was seen back then. However, it would've been better with better graphics. That's just how it is.
It was poorly optimized as well.
It ran like shit as well. Like a hamburger with buns made of shit but most delicious meat inside.
No, Deus Ex would have been worse with better graphics because the budget would have gone to graphics instead of further deepening the gameplay. It's a miracle they even succeeded with what they did according to the developers. So I for one think that the game can look pretty much atrocious if it means the game will be as deep as Deus Ex itself.
Well, that's pure speculation and a pretty bullshit argument.
Looks neat, but once again all immersion is broken with that ugly fucking HUD and "Press __ to _____ ."
Really tired of being treated like an idiot when I play these sorts of games.
The HUD can be disabled or enabled on an element-by-element basis. Highlights, interactions, crosshair style/movement/opacity -- all of that and more can be tweaked. You can even adjust the amount of head-bob on a slider.
We'll be detailing this stuff relatively soon.

I wasn't impressed with the stealth walkthrough. It looks like a Blinkfest to me, no real incentive to use much else.
The violent playthrough was awesome... very fluid. He cleared the level in 5 minutes too.
That's a bad thing.
