haha this is me every time i play reach.
1. I wonder if the campaign vignette titles will return in Halo 4. I dunno exactly what to call them, but I'm talking about the short phrases that sometimes preface new sections of a mission. They've traditionally been really corny, and while part of me appreciates the humor and fan service, I'd prefer if they weren't there.

2. I'm playing through Halo 2, and The Arbiter has to be one of the best missions in the series. It's awesome in gameplay, level design, pacing, variety, story, atmosphere, setting... everything.
Are you talking about the best mission in halo2, or the best mission of all the Halo campaigns? I don't have fond memories of halo2's campaign.

It and Oracle (I consider them one mission) are one of the best missions in the entire series, absolutely. I'm not a huge fan of Halo 2's campaign overall, but this is definitely an example of where they got it right.

Also: the Frankie/Hitler photo is probably not a good idea. It doesn't settle well.

Why haven't we organized any Halo: Custom Edition events? BTB on some of the custom maps seems like it'd be a cool thing.

I'm not sure I even know what he's doing/trying.

Are you familiar with Tower to Tower?

This is basically the same thing, but in Reach. He's trying to launch himself from one Pelican to the other and stick the landing.

I read "Orbital" and "best" in the same sentence and twitched, reflexively.

Orbital wasn't THAT bad.

Edit: That map pack was sort of forgotten...Assembly was an okay map, but I barely remember it when I think back to Halo 3.

Glad someone shares the same high regard for some of Halo 2's Arbiter levels. Still some of my favorite levels in the entire trilogy. Well, that fact that I just flat out love Halo 2's campaign probably helps.

Very first glitch I discovered as soon as Reach released was with Armor-Lock.

Stepping on top of a character, size limit: Elite. Nothing larger will work. Crouch for several seconds and press Armor-Lock.

You'll slide across the map until whatever obstacles disrupt that surfing enjoyment.

Reason I brought this up, b'cuz I'm already theorizing what AA to Exploit with in Halo 4.

Wow, the memories. That's awesome, I never knew someone actually completed it.

Until we start remembering it as the good ol' days.

We should start a pool to see who can correctly predict when the first "I MISS REACH" thread will show up on Waypoint.

Oh man, if Halo 4 is bad, I may just call it quits on Halo.

But yeah, regardless of Halo 4's quality, someone somewhere will prefer Reach.

Not that it'll be bad, but I'm sure it will have its own issues that everyone will hate so much that they'll wish for the previous game back. It happened when Halo 3 came out, it happened when Reach came out, it will happen when Halo 4 comes out.

Circle o' life.

I am one of the last 5 east coast players on Reach, I am convinced.

East coast is yesterday's news bro. Come west. The best coast awaits you.

I like those. That ridge Six and Emile come up to at the beginning of Pilar of Autumn with "Once more unto the breach" title. So good.

Those H2 missions are great. <3 H2 campaign.

I just made 30 pounds of pasta salad and then cried in sword base elevator lobby.

Because I am Hitler

Gotta start carboloading for launch early, eh?

My only regret is that I'm not going to have any fond memories of Reach to share going into Halo 4. There won't really be a goodbye. Kind of a shame. I have plenty of Halo 3 memories.

that DOES sound like a super effective glitch.

I think you're supposed to use that glitch for SOME glitch on Sword Base, but I can't remember which one for the life of me.

I've also been trying to get out of Sword Base for ages, but it's almost freakin' impossible because it's at the end of the level and the enemies always die on me before I can get out.

My favorite glitch to this day is when you're in a covenant vehicle and it takes off into space.

Don't fix this 343.

Weirest glitch for me in Reach is the one where you place one of the Powerups (Camo, OS, Custom) in Forge and they jump downwards when you let them go. WTF.

It actually doesn't happen on all maps either. It seems to be related to your location relative to the map's 0,0,0 point.

Also, you know, the Gauss firing through Forge World Structure objects. I sure hope that one's been fixed for H4, woulda been nice to get that nixed in a Reach TU. Oh well.
