Yes, the Phat was something wasn't it? I revived it after YLOD, I was going on, close to a year with it after the fix, but living it on for almost 36 hrs, had the best of it one fateful night. I still have it in my room and may give it some heat again sometime in the future, as a last ditch effort, but all my saves are gone anyways.

Still, the fact that this badboy has no cinavia in it's chipset would make it the ideal dlna streaming machine for me, was really a beautiful console all round, damn that YLOD.

My launch version died last year.. My Slim is going well and thank god for this huge disc space...because now I finally take advantage of Playstation Plus.

I still have another Launch version that I haven't turned on since March 2008...so it still has the old firmware.

Okay can anyone tell me if the more recent PS3 Slims have quieter disk drives? My Phat died a few months ago and I've been waiting for the rumored PS3 revision but this thing is too ugly to grace my entertainment center. That disk seek noise on the Slims I've seen is pretty damn loud though.
