What in the world is going on with this game. If its not 1 leak, its another, and everyone has more characters than we saw from the last. When will the madness stop?!

Pfffffffft ahahahaha oh my god. Really hoping the Tekken thing is just a mix-up, but if not, god this game has terrible 3rd-party representation in the context of this being a Sony crossover.

Also for people pointing at the little sister as possible proof they're just minions; that Big Daddy render with the LS next to his leg is taken directly from the Bioshock boxart... In fact, a lot of those renders are.

Still looking forward to the game but jesus I hope Nintendo takes note and keeps things very minimal for SSB4 and 3rd-parties.

Which is before PSA is due? In any case, you're being too skeptical, what they can okay put third party characters from franchises that won't have a release any time soon?

So cole and raiden are rivals because they both use electrical powers? Guessing here but that's probably as far as they thought.

Also mgr raiden makes more sense, If they were gonna put the mgs2 version he would probably play no different from snake.

That's fine but DINO, Ryu, MGR Raiden, Big Daddy, and Lightning(?) are neither.

I've accepted that they just weren't able to secure the proper third party characters, but that doesn't mean that they have to replace them with improper ones.

Assuming you meant only, then who knows? You're being too optimistic. They're a business, just look at the other 3rd party characters out so far. The best we can hope for though, is that Evil Cole is Snake's rival (if he's in the game). But I've already given the explanation on Eric Ladin's tweet.

Kuro appears in the rival video as well with toro.

Thats 3 toro universe characters.

Its probably because it was an incomplete list. We're still not even sure what exactly minions are. I mean, if it was gameplay Kuro should be on there since he is apart of one of Toro's Supers and if its cutscene he should be on there because we've seena cutscene with Kuro in it.

I think that's why most believe it is an unnannounced gameplay mechanic or something along those lines maybe like an assist character

You do realise that they probably didn't voice act together at the same time? The Cole VA was likely just tagging people he knew in the game. VA's rarely ever work together, especially if Hayters lines were so minor that he was a minion.

Eh I guess I'm still holding fast to the whole "you guys are using the word minion wrong" thing. Which you guys completely are, because minions clearly don't refer to environmental or assist characters!

But yeah if the point is that anyone can make a cameo, then yes there are obviously no rules that.

Yes, but its just WAAAAAY to coincidental to have one per character if that thing is referring to every single non playable character model in the entire game. And also things like Hades, Hydra, Patapon, Golfers, and Buzz aren't on that list when they are actually in the beta to be seen by all. Also Fat Princess has multiple summons, and yet it only lists one.

Minions might even be something totally scrapped thing. For example maybe they were assist type characters but the mechanic was removed.

probably old fillers I think. The banner was prbly a mockup for internal use. Personally I don't think these unannounced ones are gonna happen (jin, ryu etc..)

Definitely. Hes separate from Ratchet too which could indicate the other Tekken chars are indeed secondary. Guess we'll wait and see with the reveals.

Yeah maybe. I just don't want to get peoples hopes up thinking Minions are some big thing, which they may or may not be, and then once again start hoping that some random character happens to be a minion.

In Jump Super Stars, they have a whole lot of guide characters to help you through the menus and stuff to give more of that crossover flair and represent the non-fighting characters of the Jump universe. Tatsunoko v Capcom had something like it too. I can't help but remember that when seeing these minions.

We dont know anything really.

1.How those characters play
2.How those stages look now or what games they are mash up with
3.Nothing about the story or how the rival stuff works
4.No idea how those side characters fit into the game.

lol is it bad that I expected the leak to happen later in the day as soon as I seen that Sony took down their site to do whatever it was they were doing?

They have set a very bad precedent the only thing I ever remember them not leaking was The Last of Us
