"Amazing" Capcom scoop in next Famitsu (update: LAWD THEY DID IT AGAIN)

IMO:

Darkstalkers 4 logo and character art for Morrigan and "new character." More info to be given at TGS.

OUTSIDE POSSIBILITY:

Nitsuma's new VS game.

If this was an English-language magazine that was reporting on it, I'd go for a logical leap that "amazing" is a common prefix to Marvel comics, and guess at Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3: Amazing Edition.

I'm focussing on fighting games above because I know that neither Nitsuma or Ono have an announced project, fighting games are about the right size to be revealed in a magazine, fighting games have a quick development turnover (out before next gen), there are few significant fighting games coming out next year, they've been hinting at Darkstalkers 4 for two years and I WANT MORE FIGHTING GAMES, CAPCOMMY PLS

That was just after Captivate, not just before TGS.

Inevitably, some (many?) people will be disappointed, because that's how these things tend to go, but I'd imagine this is a good deal bigger than some ultra-niche PSP title.

For me, that I've already put +50 hours in Revelations, disappointement is a certainty :p

Yeah, I was wondering why they didn't reveal the platform at the time of announcement.

I really don't mind if it's on iOS, so long as it's available for 3DS as well. It would be nice to see them remain loyal to putting the main series on Nintendo handhelds.

What makes you think Niitsuma's next game is Marvel related? The game he did before MVC was Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

NIitsuma said his next game was aimed more at a Japanese audience. NIitsuma did work on Jojo's HD but I'm sured he has something else planned.

IIRC he said that's what he wanted, not what he was working on.

JoJos HD does sound like something aimed more at a Japanese Audience though.

WHAT A SCOOP (New Monster Hunter 4 Weapon: Hunting Insect)

Famitsu has a first look this week at a new Monster Hunter 4 weapon. New for MH4, you'll be able to take control of a "hunting insect."

To use this new hunting companion, you mark a target monster. Release the insect, and it will head out to the monster and suck up its energy. Call the insect back, and you'll be able to use its bounty to strengthen your character.

The "energy" the insect sucks up is called "EX" (or possibly EXE). The property it strengthens is indicated by its color. White increases your speed. Red increases your attack strength. Green increases your vitality. Orange increases your defensive strength.

The hunting insects are capable of jumping, so they may be able to reach areas that aren't accessible by you.

Famitsu also details three other new areas of the game.

Goa Magara
A new monster that is a major part of the story. Details are promised for a future update.
Step Actions
When you find height differences in the land, you can run through these to make your character jump. While in mid air, you can perform attacks.
Synthesis
Your two partner Felynes can team up for a group attack.
